Hello, and welcome! If you're new here, I am so excited to finally introduce you to Blu Primary School.
Opening this little shop and blog has been a dream of mine, and I created it as a way to help support our own family's homeschool adventures. As we navigate this journey with our kids, I found myself constantly creating materials, activities, and resources to fit our needs. It dawned on me "why not share the very products I'm already making with other families who might find them just as helpful?"
Our Homeschool Style (Hint: It’s a Little Bit of Everything!)
If I had to describe our homeschooling style, I'd say we don't really have just one. It's truly a mixture of lots of different things! I love pulling from various philosophies and methods to create an eclectic mix that works best for our family's unique rhythm.
One of the biggest shifts for us this season is that we recently started the 1,000 Hours Outside challenge for the summer. Because we are spending so much intentional time outdoors, I've been heavily inspired to create nature-based and forest school-style products. In fact, the very first two products are already listed in the shop!
What to Expect Here
Through this blog, I want to take you along for the ride. You can expect to see posts about:
- The products we are making: I'll share an inside look at new resources as they launch.
- Real life application: I'll show you exactly how these products are working for us in our day to day routine.
- Tips, tricks, and extensions: I’ll offer ideas on how to tweak, use, or add to the materials to make them work perfectly for your little ones.
Growing With Us
Right now, we have a 1st grader and a preschooler, so most of the items you’ll see in the shop are specifically tailored to those younger grade levels. My heart is really in creating engaging, hands on learning for this age group! But as my kids grow, the shop will grow with them, and I have big hopes to branch out into materials for older grades down the line.
I'm also incredibly excited to share that I'm currently working on some fun curriculum resources designed to hit 1st grade standards while tying into our favorite PBS Kids shows. Stay tuned for that!
