To share the heart’s worry,

And then the mind’s care,

Not to wallow in hurt or fear,

Just in a near-silent tone of voice, invite another’s heart to an ardent dare.

If inches of hope can somehow turn into miles,

Then clarity can be found.

In the deepest of ways,

You promise that your most sincere adoration will always be around.

Opinions expressed, not in a hurry,

Or thrown together haphazardly in a rush,

Not too loud and brassy with ego-driven vigor,

Neither too low nor too quiet of a hush.

Not harsh or meant to be a rebuff,

But kind words said in a manner that the hearer can most receive,

Your actions were always with the greatest of intentions.

Despite what the results lead the mind to believe…
