About Me

I’m Estefanía Cruz de Piña, a Licensed Professional Counselor, educator, and founder of Branches of Grace. With more than 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, and families, I’m passionate about making mental health information practical and easier to understand.

My mission is to equip individuals, families, churches, and leaders with practical tools for emotional and spiritual health by bringing together evidence-based psychology and biblical wisdom. The resources here are designed to help you move beyond simply knowing what to do—to understanding why it matters and how to put it into practice.

Before working with Estefania, I often approached parenting the way many of us were taught: focusing on being right, maintaining control, and trying to stop behaviors as quickly as possible. Through her guidance, I learned something that completely changed my relationship with my children—connection is more powerful than control.

She helped me recognize how my own reactions, overwhelm, and stress affected my children, and how slowing down, listening, and connecting with them could de-escalate situations far more effectively than raising my voice or digging in my heels. As a mother who was diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, the self-awareness she helped me develop regarding my symptoms and how they impacted my children has been invaluable.

Estefania also taught me that our children are living in the world we create for them. That lesson changed the way I viewed parenting. It helped me realize that if I wanted things to change for my children, I also had to be willing to grow and change myself. Our children don’t just learn from what we teach them—they learn from the emotional world we create for them. The more regulated, self-aware, and connected we become, the more likely our children are to experience safety, connection, and eventually learn those same skills themselves. Parenting isn’t just about changing our children’s behavior; it’s about taking responsibility for the environment we’re creating and learning how to show up differently when needed.

One of the practical tools Estefania encouraged me to implement was a reward system for my children, who both have ADHD. Creating more structure in our home helped reinforce positive behaviors and gave us a healthier framework to work from. The impact was significant, and Estefania encouraged me to pursue certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) so that I can one day help other children and families as well.

What I appreciate most about Estefania is that she doesn’t simply tell people what they want to hear. She is compassionate, but she is also direct. She has a way of challenging you to look honestly at yourself and your patterns while still making you feel supported in the process. Some of the most meaningful growth I’ve experienced as a parent came from being willing to hear difficult truths and put them into practice.

I am deeply grateful for her support, wisdom, and encouragement over the years. If you are a parent who is ready to do the inner work, willing to be challenged, and committed to creating a more regulated and connected world for your children, you would be fortunate to work with Estefania. The lessons she has taught me have transformed my relationship with my children and will stay with me for the rest of my life.
