Alec Leg warmers - Free crochet pattern

Earlier this year, my daughter requested leg warmers. As she is picky when it comes to wearing anything crochet, i got her to look through my crochet stitch books. She picked out the Wing stitch.

Gauge swatch of Wing stitch

This stitch pattern consists of working double crochets behind trebles that look like wings. Unfortunately, not long after starting the leg warmers, i found out my grandmas brother Alec had passed away. I thought it was fitting and was the universe telling me that it gained another angel.

This pattern is for teen to adults, but can easily be adjusted for children. Simply measure the largest part of your calf (this is the circumference of the leg warmers), then measure from the ankle to mid calf (this is the length). The stitch pattern is a multiple of 8 + 1.

A PDF version of this pattern can be purchased from Ravelry or here in my store. (each purchase helps with further designs and video content)
