From Prompt to Plate: Why I Created an AI Recipe Journal Instead of Another Meal Planner

I have a confession

I love the idea of meal planning far more than I enjoy actually doing it.

Every Sunday, I have grand ambitions. This will be the week we eat healthy, save money, use up the leftovers, avoid food waste and somehow create restaurant-quality meals from the random contents of my fridge.

By Wednesday, I'm usually staring into the freezer, wondering whether fish fingers count as a balanced diet.

When AI tools became more popular, I started experimenting with using them to create recipes, meal plans and shopping lists. The problem wasn't that AI couldn't help.

The problem was that most people don't know what to ask.

That's exactly why I created the AI Recipe Journal: Prompt to Plate.

This isn't just another recipe journal or meal planner. It's a practical journal designed to help you use AI to create personalised recipes, discover new flavour combinations, reduce food waste and make meal planning far less stressful.

What makes it different?

The journal contains ten unique AI prompt systems that help you think differently about food and cooking.

Some of my favourites include:

The Pantry Raid

Got chicken, half a lemon, some spinach and a can of tomatoes? Instead of ordering takeaway, ask AI to create something delicious from what you already have.

The Global Fusion

Ever wondered what Thai flavours would taste like in an Italian pasta dish? Or how Mediterranean ingredients could work in a curry? This prompt helps you experiment without the guesswork.

The Leftover Legend

Because we all have those random leftovers lurking in the fridge that deserve a second chance.

The Calorie-Conscious Remix

Turn your favourite comfort foods into healthier versions without sacrificing flavour.

The journal also includes space to record your prompts, recipes, cooking notes and nutritional information, helping you build your own personalised AI-powered cookbook over time.

Who is this journal for?

This journal is perfect if you:

• Love using ChatGPT or AI tools

• Hate deciding what's for dinner

• Want to reduce food waste

• Need inspiration for family meals

• Enjoy experimenting in the kitchen

• Want healthier, more personalised recipes

• Have ever stood in front of the fridge hoping dinner would magically appear

So, basically, most of us.

The future of meal planning isn't replacing cooking.

And if it saves me from another Wednesday evening freezer stare-down, I consider that a huge success.
