C R Lord is a minister of the gospel and has been since February 19, 1974. He is the author of nine books, including his autobiography inspired by his oldest son, Sam, which can all be purchased on Amazon. Born September 27, 1942 in his mother's house on a rainy, Sunday morning, C R Lord entered the world in poverty because his father was never around and his mother was raising the children all by herself. He would never get t o know his father who drove trucks for a living and never shared his life with his children. It wasn't until the boy was eight years of age that his father showed himself, and that was to drive C R Lord and his brother to Michigan and drop t hem off with some people they had never met. He then left sand never returned. His mother was miraculously able to find her two children and ring them home. That would be the last time he would ever see his father. Years later he would find out that his father died while riding a bus on his way to gamble in Las Vegas. His mother raised five children sired by his father as best as she could.
From that time until his graduation from high school at the age of 17 C R Lord and his siblings, which now numbered five, lived in poverty as their mom struggled to raise them. When C R Lord was 16 his mother had another baby boy through a relationship that she kept secret He was given up in adoption during this season of C R Lord's Life. Eventually she remarried and had one more girl, and that marriage ended in divorce as well because of physical abuse. C R Lord graduated from high school and it was time to move on. At the age of 17 he entered the United States Air Force where he would remain for nearly eight years.
Eight years in the Air Force was followed by six years in the drug culture which led to a jail cell in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and a prayer to God to prove himself to C R Lord which led to an amazing transition and a new life absolutely the reverse of previous years and a life filled with peace and a multitude of blessings. The biggest blessing was salvation through Jesus Christ. Beyond that there were years of ministry, a wonderful godly wife , seven godly children and sixteen precious, beautiful grandchildren.
