Just a quick 10-minute drive takes you to the charming town of Pella, known for its progressive vibe and fun amenities. You can cool off at the waterpark, play some pickleball, or enjoy fresh treats from local bakeries and coffee shops. Don’t miss the meat markets and the lively farmers’ market held right in the park.
We have stayed here for multiple days on a couple occasions, one of those during the National Balloon Classic in Indianola, Iowa. This hot air balloon festival is a must see if you are in the area during the week of the competition. We enjoyed the food trucks, live music, sitting on a hillside and watching the dozens of colorful hot air balloons come in to land in front of us. We were also fortunate to see the night glow demonstration!

Howell Station offers the perfect mix of nature and nearby town perks for a truly relaxing escape.
