The other day I was working on a canvas, and what I envisioned didn't feel like it was coming together the way I wanted it to. Something about it felt off, or maybe I was getting inside my head too much. I thought about something told to me in a class by Vogue and Brittni, that what you paint won't always look the same after it dries. I keep that in mind anytime I paint something. So I said to myself “girl, let the paint dry.” And took my behind to bed lol. I woke up the next morning to check on it, and whatever I was feeling the night before, went away. The painting felt right. I'm saying all this to say, that you really need to take a breath and let your work marinate for a lil bit.
