Rio Solara (Amy Neumann) is a Distributor of Curiosity™—an author, artist, speaker, technologist, researcher, and lifelong collector of interesting questions.

Her work explores what becomes possible when we bring together things usually kept apart: AI and human flourishing, technology and creativity, research and play, different ways of thinking, and the wonderfully useful question, “What happens if…?”

With more than 30 years in technology and social impact, Rio has worked across AI, education, nonprofits, communications, and emerging technology. She is the author of Empower Your Nonprofit (Wiley, 2024) and Simple Acts to Change the World (Simon & Schuster, 2018), and is currently pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD exploring AI, metacognition, creativity, and human flourishing.

She is also an artist, maker, traveler, and enthusiastic investigator of patterns hiding in plain sight.

Her latest work includes the Curiosity Lab Field Guides—small, colorful invitations to WONDER, PLAY, CONNECT, and experiment with how you experience the world.

The underlying idea is simple:

Curiosity opens doors. Play lets us walk through before we know exactly where they lead.

Come see what happens.
