Grace is still Enough

GRACE IS STILL ENOUGH

Salvation, Repentance & the Love That Restores - August 10, 2026

Sometimes the most powerful way to begin a conversation about grace is to admit that you need it.

This livestream began with repentance.

I had to acknowledge that I had not spent the time in the Word that I wanted to spend during the previous week.

I could have condemned myself.

I could have decided I wasn’t doing enough.

I could have allowed disappointment in myself to become distance from God.

Instead, I came back.

And that became part of the message:

My shortcomings do not outweigh God’s grace.

His grace is still enough.

GRACE IS NOT AN EXCUSE

Grace doesn’t mean sin doesn’t matter.

Grace means sin doesn’t have to have the final word.

There is a difference.

Repentance acknowledges where we’ve missed it.

Grace reminds us that we can come back.

The enemy would love for failure to become identity:

“You failed, therefore you are a failure.”

But the Gospel tells a different story.

You can repent.

You can return.

You can receive forgiveness.

You can get back up.

You can keep walking.

Grace doesn’t tell us to stay where we are.

Grace gives us the opportunity to move forward with God.

SALVATION IS MY LANE

One thing became especially clear during this livestream:

I love teaching about salvation.

There is something about the Gospel that I never want to become ordinary to me.

Salvation isn’t merely the first step we take before moving on to more interesting things.

Salvation is the miracle.

The rescue.

The reconciliation.

The transition from death to life.

The transfer from darkness to light.

The restoration of relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

This is a message I believe God has entrusted to me to keep preaching and teaching.

And I don’t want to become so fascinated with everything surrounding Christianity that I forget Christ Himself.

FROM ADAM TO CHRIST

Romans 5 gives us one of the clearest pictures of what salvation accomplished.

Paul contrasts Adam and Christ.

Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the human story.

But through Jesus Christ came the gift of grace.

Romans 5:15 describes it as the abundant grace of God and the gift that comes through Jesus Christ.

This is the Gospel in beautiful contrast:

One act brought devastation.

One greater act brought redemption.

The story doesn’t end with Adam.

It moves toward Jesus.

THE GIFT IS GREATER

Romans 5 doesn’t simply say that Jesus came to undo what Adam did.

Paul emphasizes the abundance of the gift.

Grace is not barely enough.

It is not rationed.

It is not given only to people who have performed perfectly.

Romans 5:20 says:

“But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.”

That doesn’t make sin insignificant.

It makes grace astonishing.

Where sin increased, grace overflowed even more.

Grace wins.

STANDING IN GRACE

Romans 5:2 says:

“By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand…”

That phrase stayed with me:

wherein we stand.

We don’t have to live every day wondering whether God has enough grace for us.

We stand in grace.

We come to God through faith.

We trust Christ.

We repent when we sin.

We receive His forgiveness.

And we continue walking.

That is very different from living in constant spiritual anxiety.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO LIVE DEFEATED

Another major theme of the livestream was refusing to live in a constant state of defeat, anxiety, and worry.

There is a difference between acknowledging a difficult season and allowing that season to define your identity.

Believers can have problems and still have hope.

We can have questions and still have faith.

We can have struggles and still belong to God.

We can have bad days without becoming people who have no hope.

Grace changes our posture.

We may bend.

We may stumble.

We may cry.

We may need to repent.

But we don’t have to stay on the ground.

GRACE AND PEACE ARE MULTIPLIED

2 Peter 1:2 says:

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord…”

Look at that language.

Through the knowledge of God.

Grace and peace are connected to knowing Him.

Not merely knowing about Him.

Knowing Him.

Relationship matters.

The more intimately we know the character of God, the more deeply we can understand His grace.

He isn’t waiting for us to become impressive enough to approach Him.

He has already made a way through Christ.

LEARNING TO LOVE PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR STRUGGLES

This may have been one of the most practical parts of the teaching.

We have to get better at loving people while they are still struggling.

Sometimes we want people to become completely healed, completely mature, completely disciplined, completely free—and then we’ll love them.

But that’s not how God loved us.

Romans 5:8 tells us that God demonstrated His love toward us while we were still sinners.

So if we’ve received grace, we should become people who know how to extend grace.

That doesn’t mean we approve of everything.

It doesn’t mean we ignore destructive behavior.

It doesn’t mean we eliminate boundaries.

It means we don’t confuse correction with condemnation.

STEPHEN: GRACE UNDER PRESSURE

Acts 7 gives us the account of Stephen’s death.

And while he was being persecuted, Stephen prayed:

“Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.”

There is something astonishing about that.

Stephen was suffering because of his faith, yet his response was not simply revenge.

His words echo Jesus’ own posture toward His persecutors.

This is what grace looks like when it moves beyond theory.

Grace changes how we respond to people who hurt us.

JESUS UNDER TEMPTATION

Luke 4 gives us another important picture.

Satan tempted Jesus with the kingdoms of the world.

But Jesus refused the offer.

His response was grounded in Scripture:

“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Jesus would not exchange worship for worldly power.

That matters because we can become tempted to pursue influence while losing sight of obedience.

But the Kingdom isn’t built through compromise.

Jesus didn’t need the kingdoms of the world.

He is King.

THE SERPENT AND THE LIE

Genesis 3 takes us back to the Garden.

The serpent introduced deception.

The temptation wasn’t simply about fruit.

It was about whether humanity would trust God’s Word.

That same question continues to appear throughout Scripture:

Who will you believe?

God?

Or the voice that contradicts Him?

That’s why knowing the Word matters.

That’s why salvation matters.

That’s why relationship matters.

Because deception becomes dangerous when we don’t recognize the voice of truth.

DON’T LET RELIGION MAKE YOU JUDGMENTAL

Grace should change the way we look at people.

It should make us humble.

Because every believer who has received salvation is standing because of grace.

Not because we were flawless.

Not because we figured everything out.

Not because we never made mistakes.

Grace.

That should make it difficult to look down on somebody who is still struggling.

Instead, we should be able to say:

“I know what grace did for me. Let me help you find it too.”

THE CALL IS NOT TO CONDEMN

Jesus didn’t commission His followers to become professional condemners.

He commissioned them to preach the Gospel.

There is a difference between exposing darkness and despising people trapped in darkness.

We can call sin what Scripture calls sin without treating sinners as disposable.

We can tell the truth without becoming cruel.

We can establish boundaries without becoming hateful.

We can correct without humiliating.

We can preach holiness without forgetting mercy.

Truth and grace belong together.

GRACE DOESN’T LOWER THE STANDARD

Sometimes people misunderstand grace as permission to stop growing.

But grace doesn’t lower God’s standard.

Grace gives us the power and opportunity to keep becoming.

We repent.

We learn.

We grow.

We mature.

We obey.

We get back up.

We keep walking.

The goal isn’t to use grace as a hiding place for disobedience.

The goal is to let grace transform us.

SALVATION IS STILL THE MIRACLE

With all the spiritual language we can encounter—warfare, prophecy, revelation, authority, signs, dreams, declarations, gifts—there is something we must never lose:

The Gospel.

Someone coming to know Jesus is not a lesser miracle.

Someone turning from darkness to light is not ordinary.

Someone receiving forgiveness is not small.

Someone becoming reconciled to God is eternal.

Someone who was bound becoming free is worth celebrating.

Someone who was lost being found is worth everything.

ACTS 19: WHEN DARKNESS LOSES ITS HOLD

Acts 19 appeared again in this teaching in connection with prayer against occult and demonic practices.

But the larger picture of Acts 19 is transformation.

People encountered the power of the Gospel.

Former practices were abandoned.

The Word of God prevailed.

That’s the outcome we should desire.

Not simply that darkness be exposed.

But that people be rescued from it.

Not merely that bondage be identified.

But that captives become free.

Not merely that people be confronted.

But that they encounter Jesus.

YOUR FAILURE DOES NOT HAVE THE FINAL WORD

This is where I have to bring the message back home.

I started this livestream by admitting where I had fallen short.

I hadn’t spent the time in the Word that I wanted to.

And that was real.

But it wasn’t the end of the story.

I could repent.

I could return.

I could open the Bible again.

I could seek God again.

I could keep going.

That’s grace.

Not pretending the failure didn’t happen.

But refusing to let the failure become the final chapter.

GRACE IS STILL ENOUGH

Maybe you need to hear this today.

You may have missed it.

You may have wandered.

You may have made a decision you regret.

You may have neglected your relationship with God.

You may be disappointed in yourself.

You may be struggling with the same thing you thought you had already overcome.

Come back.

Repent.

Receive grace.

Get back in the Word.

Get back in prayer.

Get back into fellowship.

Get back into obedience.

Don’t allow shame to convince you that you are disqualified from returning to the One who is calling you home.

WE ARE HEIRS

We don’t have to live as spiritual orphans.

We don’t have to live as though we have no inheritance.

In Christ, there is an identity that is bigger than our circumstances.

So don’t live like defeat is your inheritance.

Don’t let anxiety become your identity.

Don’t let worry become your master.

Don’t let your past become your prophecy.

You belong to Christ.

And because you belong to Him, you can face today from a place of grace.

THE KINGDOM COORDINATE

This livestream left me with a simple Kingdom Coordinate:

RECEIVE GRACE. WALK IN GRACE. EXTEND GRACE.

Receive the grace God gives you.

Walk in the grace that teaches and transforms you.

Extend that grace to people who are still struggling.

Don’t excuse sin.

Don’t ignore truth.

Don’t abandon holiness.

But don’t forget mercy.

Because the same grace that rescued you is the grace God can use to reach somebody else.

SALVATION IS THE MESSAGE

There are many things I may teach.

There are many things we may discuss.

There are many dimensions of spiritual life.

But salvation will always matter.

Jesus matters.

The Gospel matters.

Grace matters.

Repentance matters.

Reconciliation matters.

And people matter.

So I want to keep saying it.

Keep preaching it.

Keep teaching it.

Keep living it.

Keep pointing people toward Jesus.

Because the world doesn’t need another religious performance.

It needs the Gospel.

REPENT QUICKLY.

RECEIVE GRACE.

STAND IN GRACE.

KNOW JESUS.

GUARD YOUR FAITH.

LOVE PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR STRUGGLES.

REFUSE CONDEMNATION.

EXTEND THE MERCY YOU HAVE RECEIVED.

PREACH THE GOSPEL.

PRAY FOR THE CAPTIVES.

REMEMBER YOUR INHERITANCE.

AND KEEP JESUS AT THE CENTER.

You don’t have to pretend you never fail.

You don’t have to hide your need for grace.

You don’t have to become perfect before you return to God.

Come back.

Repent.

Receive.

Rise.

Keep walking.

Because the story of the Gospel is not that perfect people found God.

It is that God came looking for us.

And through Jesus Christ, He made a way home.

Grace is still enough.

Kingdom Coordinates.

Kingdom Alignment.

Kingdom Purpose.

Jesus Christ at the Center.
