IT’S ALREADY SETTLED
When God Has Spoken, Stand on His Word - June 10, 2026
There are some things we keep asking God to decide that He has already addressed in His Word.
We pray.
We wonder.
We worry.
We revisit the situation seventeen times.

Meanwhile, Psalm 119:89 says:
“Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable].”
— Psalm 119:89 AMP
Settled.
That word arrested my attention.
Because if God’s Word is settled in Heaven, perhaps the question isn’t whether Heaven has changed its mind.
Perhaps the question is:
Will I stand on what God has said while I wait for what I see to come into alignment with His will?
Stop Living Beneath Your Identity
One of the things we discussed during this livestream was the tendency believers can have to live beneath what Christ has made available to us.
First Corinthians 3:21 says:
“All things are yours.”
Romans 8:32 reminds us that the God who did not spare His own Son will also graciously give us all things with Him.
But notice the center again:
With Him.
Not apart from Jesus.
Not independent of Jesus.
Not because we’ve somehow become little sovereign beings making demands of Heaven.
Everything flows through our relationship with Christ.
Our inheritance is in Christ.
Our identity is in Christ.
Our authority is in Christ.
Our confidence is in Christ.

You Are the Temple
Scripture teaches that believers are temples of the Holy Spirit.
That changes how we think about ourselves.
We don’t have to spend our lives begging God to come near as though He has abandoned us.
His Spirit dwells within His people.
That should produce confidence—
but also tremendous responsibility.
If I am God’s temple, how am I living?
What am I allowing to occupy my thoughts?
What am I agreeing with?
What am I speaking?
What am I carrying into environments?
Authority without character isn’t the goal.
Christ formed in us is.
No Weapon
Isaiah 54 says:
“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed…”
Notice Scripture doesn’t say:
No weapon will form.
Well.

That would certainly be convenient.
It says the weapon will not ultimately prosper against what God has purposed.
The same passage says God’s people will be established in righteousness and far from oppression and terror.
That means our confidence isn’t built around never encountering opposition.
Our confidence is built around God remaining God in the middle of it.
Fear doesn’t get the final word.
Oppression doesn’t get the final word.
People don’t get the final word.
Circumstances don’t get the final word.
God does.
Remember Your Testimony
This was one of my favorite parts of the livestream.
Testimony matters.
Sometimes we’re so focused on what God hasn’t done yet that we forget everything He’s already done.
But testimony becomes evidence for the next battle.
Remember when He provided.
Remember when He healed.
Remember when He opened the door.
Remember when He protected you.
Remember when something looked impossible and somehow God made a way.
Remember when you thought you wouldn’t survive something—
and here you are.
Your testimony doesn’t mean God is obligated to reproduce every past event in exactly the same way. God is not a formula.
But testimony reminds us of something incredibly important:
His character hasn’t changed.
The God who was faithful then is still faithful now.
Build a Memorial
Throughout Scripture, God’s people repeatedly established memorials so future generations would remember what He had done.
There is wisdom in that.
Write the testimony down.
Record the date.
Tell your children.
Tell somebody what God did.
Keep the receipt.

Because eventually another difficult day will come, and your emotions may try to convince you that God has never helped you before.
That’s when you pull out the evidence.
“No, no, no. We’ve been here before.”
Maybe not this exact situation.
But we’ve seen His faithfulness.
And we’re going to remember.
Your Testimony Is Not Your God
There’s an important balance here too.
We don’t worship what God did yesterday.
We worship God.
Sometimes people become so attached to the way God moved previously that they assume He must do exactly the same thing again.
But testimony should produce faith in God, not faith in a method.
The testimony says:
“God was faithful.”
Not:
“Therefore He must repeat the exact sequence.”
That’s an important difference.
We remain open to however He chooses to move.
Greater Is He
First John 4:4 says:
“You are of God and you belong to Him… and have already overcome them; because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
There it is again.
Who is in you?
That’s the source of confidence.
Not your volume.
Not your spiritual vocabulary.
Not how long you can pray.
Not your title.
Not your ministry.
Him.
Which means spiritual warfare should continually return us to confidence in Christ rather than fascination with opposition.
We don’t deny that evil exists.
We simply refuse to make it bigger than Jesus.
Pray for Their Conversion
And once again during this livestream, we prayed for witches, warlocks and mediums.
At this point, anybody following these livestreams should understand the heart:
We want people saved.
Not destroyed.
Saved.
Delivered.
Transformed.
Discipled.
And then—
why not?
Turn them into evangelists. 🤣🙌🏽
If Saul can become Paul, I’m not putting limits on what Jesus can do with somebody else’s story.
Imagine someone who once used their influence to lead people away from Christ becoming someone who cannot stop telling people about Him.
That’s redemption.
That’s why we intercede.
Jesus Prayed for Us Too
John 17 contains one of the most extraordinary prayers in Scripture.
Jesus prayed for His disciples.
And then He prayed:
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word…”
That’s us.
Before we were born—
Jesus prayed for those who would believe.
Sit with that for a moment.
And then think about what it means for our own intercession.
There are people who haven’t believed yet.
There are people who don’t know Jesus yet.
There are people who may currently oppose everything we believe yet.
That little word matters.
Yet.
So we pray.
No Purpose of His Can Be Restrained
Job 42:2 says:
“I know that You can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained.”
This Scripture has become deeply important to me.
Because ultimately my confidence cannot rest in whether circumstances cooperate.
It rests in God.
If something is truly His purpose, He doesn’t need the permission of human opposition to remain God.
That doesn’t mean we automatically know that every desire we have is His purpose.
That’s why surrender matters.
We continually ask:
“Lord, is this You?”
But once God makes something clear, we can stop allowing every difficult day to make us question everything.
Sometimes faith looks like:
“I heard You. I’m staying here.”
Refusing “No”
I talked during the livestream about refusing to accept “no.”
And again, there’s an important distinction.
This doesn’t mean we tell God He isn’t allowed to tell us no.

Absolutely not.
God can tell me no.
He is God.
Tenacity means I don’t allow fear, opposition, circumstances or discouragement to override something God has clearly said.
If God says no—
I surrender.
If people say no to something God has said yes to—
I keep praying and obeying.
If circumstances say impossible—
I remember Who I’m dealing with.
That’s Kingdom tenacity.
Strengthened With Power
Then Ephesians 3 gives us this beautiful prayer:
That we would be strengthened with power through His Spirit in our inner being.
That Christ would dwell in our hearts through faith.
That we would be rooted and grounded in love.
And ultimately—
that we would be filled with all the fullness of God.
Notice where this teaching on power ends.
Love.
That’s important.
Spiritual power that doesn’t produce greater love should concern us.
Authority that makes us arrogant doesn’t resemble Jesus.
Faith that makes us cruel isn’t maturity.
Paul’s prayer moves toward believers becoming deeply rooted in the love of Christ.
Then comes that famous declaration:
God is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, according to His power at work within us.
It’s Already Settled
So what has God said?
Go back there.
Not to every random thought you’ve ever had.
Not to every desire you’ve labeled prophetic.
🤣
Go back to what is actually established.
His Word.
His character.
His promises in their proper biblical context.
And whatever personal direction you believe you’ve received, keep submitting it to Scripture, prayer and discernment.
But don’t allow anxiety to reopen matters God has already settled in His Word.
God is faithful.
Jesus is Lord.
You belong to Him.
His Spirit dwells in His people.
The Gospel still saves.
His grace is sufficient.
His Word still stands.
And His purposes cannot be frustrated by human beings pretending to be bigger than God.
So remember your testimony.
Strengthen yourself in His Word.
Pray for the lost.
Stand firm.
Stay rooted in love.
And when fear asks:
“But what if?”
Open the Word and answer:
IT’S ALREADY SETTLED.
Not because I said it.
Not because I decreed it loudly enough.
Not because I refuse to acknowledge reality.
But because God’s Word is forever settled in Heaven.
And that’s where I choose to stand.
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You that Your Word is forever settled in Heaven. Teach us to distinguish between our own desires and what You have truly spoken. Help us remember Your faithfulness without trying to control how You move next. Strengthen us through Your Spirit, root us deeply in the love of Christ and keep our confidence centered in Jesus. Give us faith to intercede for people who do not yet know You and grace to believe that transformation is still possible. When circumstances contradict what we know to be true about You, teach us to stand without fear, pride or presumption. Fill us with Your fullness and use our lives to point others toward Jesus. In His name, amen.
