LET GOD ARISE
The Breaker Goes Before You - September 23, 2026
“Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered…” — Psalm 68:1
There comes a point when we have prayed, waited, stood, believed and obeyed—and what we need next is not another human strategy.
We need God to arise.
That became the cry of this livestream: Let God arise!
Throughout Scripture, when God moved before His people, circumstances changed. Obstacles gave way. Enemies were scattered. Paths appeared where there seemed to be no path.
And one of the most powerful pictures of this is found in Micah:
“The breaker [the Messiah] will go up before them. They will break out, pass through the gate and go out through it. And their King will pass on before them, the LORD at their head.” — Micah 2:13 AMP
THE BREAKER GOES FIRST
I love this revelation because it removes the pressure from us to manufacture our own breakthrough.
The Breaker goes before us.
God isn’t standing behind us yelling, “Try harder!”
He goes ahead.
He breaks open the way.
He deals with what we cannot see.
He handles what we cannot reach.
He opens what we cannot force.
And then He calls us to follow Him through.
That means breakthrough isn’t merely about something finally happening for us. Sometimes breakthrough is God creating an opening and then saying:
Now move.
FROM WAITING TO MOMENTUM
There are seasons when waiting is obedience.
But there are also seasons when continuing to wait after God has said go can keep us standing in front of a gate He has already opened.
That was part of the encouragement during this livestream: move from waiting into momentum.
When God prompts you, respond.
When He gives an instruction, obey.
When He opens the gate, walk through it.
You may not understand everything that is happening ahead of you. You don’t have to.
Your responsibility is not to know everything.
Your responsibility is to follow the One who does.
PRAISE WHILE GOD FIGHTS
Second Chronicles 20 gives us an extraordinary picture of this.
Jehoshaphat and Judah faced an enemy they could not defeat in their own strength. Yet as they went out praising God, Scripture tells us that the Lord set ambushes against their enemies.
They praised.
God fought.
That changes the way we understand worship.
Praise isn’t merely something we do after victory.
Sometimes praise is how we walk toward the battlefield trusting that God has already gone ahead of us.
So praise Him before you see it.
Worship while you’re walking.
Thank Him while the circumstances still appear unchanged.
Your confidence isn’t in what you can presently see.
Your confidence is in Who went before you.
YOU HAVE A FRONT GUARD AND A REAR GUARD
Then Isaiah gives us another beautiful promise:
“…for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” — Isaiah 52:12 AMP
Look at that picture.
God goes before you, and God guards behind you.
You’re not being asked to run ahead of Him.
You’re not being asked to constantly look over your shoulder in fear.
You’re being invited to walk with Him.
Deuteronomy 1:30 reinforces it:
“The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf…”
And Exodus 13 shows the same pattern when God led Israel with the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.
Again and again:
God goes first.
LET GOD ARISE
Some battles don’t need another hour of analyzing the enemy.
Some barriers don’t need another human attempt to push them down.
Some situations require us to lift our eyes and declare:
LET GOD ARISE.
Arise over our families.
Arise over our cities.
Arise over the nations.
Arise over every place where darkness has attempted to establish itself.
Arise over every stronghold.
Arise over every limitation.
Arise over every place Your people have felt trapped, delayed or restrained.
Let the Breaker go before us.
And when He breaks open the gate—
GO THROUGH IT.
Don’t camp outside an opening you prayed for.
Don’t keep asking God whether you can move when He has already said go.
Don’t allow yesterday’s warfare to make you afraid of tomorrow’s territory.
The King is ahead of you.
The Lord is your rear guard.
And the Breaker has gone before you.
KINGDOM TAKEAWAY
Maybe you’ve been waiting for breakthrough.
But perhaps the next question isn’t only:
“God, when will You move?”
Perhaps it is:
“Lord, where have You already moved that I now need to follow?”
Listen.
Watch.
Praise.
Obey.
And when God opens the way—
MOVE.
Let God arise.
Let His enemies be scattered.
Let the Breaker go before us.
And let the people of God move forward.
Prayer
Father, arise in every area of our lives that needs Your intervention. Go before us as the Breaker and make straight the path You have ordained for us. Scatter every work that opposes Your purposes. Give us discernment to recognize when You have opened a door and courage to move when You say move. Keep us from striving in our own strength. Teach us to praise You before we see the victory and to trust that You are fighting battles we cannot see. Thank You for going before us and for being our rear guard. We will follow where You lead.
