ONLY BELIEVE!
When Faith Meets the Process - August 14, 3026
There are some words that sound simple until you actually have to live them.
Only believe.
Jesus said it plainly.
And yet believing God can become one of the greatest adventures of our lives.
Because believing isn’t merely agreeing that God exists.
Believing means trusting Him with the promise, trusting Him with the process, and trusting Him when what He said doesn’t yet look anything like what we can see.
This livestream became a conversation about covenant, freedom, refinement, spiritual warfare, and the promises of God.
And underneath it all was one simple invitation:
Only believe.

YES AND AMEN
One of the central truths of this teaching was the certainty of God’s promises.
The Word tells us:
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
—2 Corinthians 1:20
That doesn’t mean every desire we have automatically becomes a promise from God.
It means that what God has actually promised, He is faithful to fulfill.
His character isn’t changing.
His covenant isn’t based on our circumstances.
Yes.
Amen.
The question becomes:
Will I believe Him while I wait?

GOD “SHOOTING HIS SHOT”
One of the more playful parts of the livestream was the picture of God essentially “shooting His shot.”
And honestly, I loved the simplicity of the analogy.
God initiates.
God reaches toward us.
God offers Himself.
God demonstrates His love.
And then we respond.
I described our relationship with God through the picture of marriage.
He offers the covenant.
We say yes.
He gives us Himself.
We receive Him.
And the Holy Spirit becomes part of that covenant picture—the seal and evidence of belonging to Him.
Ephesians 1:13–14 speaks of believers being sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, describing the Spirit as the earnest, or guarantee, of our inheritance.
This isn’t casual.
This is covenant.

THE RING
Think about what a wedding ring represents.
It is a visible reminder of an invisible covenant.
It says:
I belong.
I have committed myself.
I am no longer living as though I am unattached.
That picture helped me think about what it means to belong to Christ.
Salvation isn’t simply receiving benefits from God.
It is entering relationship with Him.
It is saying yes to Jesus.
And then continuing to say yes.
Yes to His Word.
Yes to His correction.
Yes to His leading.
Yes to His love.
Yes to His ways.
Yes and amen.

STAY RIGHT AND TIGHT WITH JESUS
One of the phrases that kept surfacing throughout the livestream was:
Stay right and tight with Jesus.
In other words:
Stay close.
Stay connected.
Stay in communion.
Don’t treat Jesus like someone you visit only when there is an emergency.
Talk to Him.
Listen.
Pray.
Read His Word.
Worship.
Repent.
Ask questions.
Bring Him your fears.
Bring Him your dreams.
Bring Him your disappointments.
Bring Him your expectations.
Bring Him everything.
Relationship becomes strong through communion.

JESUS CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE
Isaiah 61 became one of the central Scriptures of this teaching:
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek…”
Isaiah continues with language of healing, liberty, and freedom for the captives.
Jesus later stood in the synagogue and read from this passage in Luke 4:18, applying its mission to Himself.
This matters.
The Gospel is not merely information.
Jesus came with good news.
He came to bind up the brokenhearted.
He came to proclaim liberty.
He came to set captives free.
He came to bring people out of darkness and into His light.
So when we pray for people who are bound, deceived, broken, or far from God, our ultimate prayer is not simply:
“Change their circumstances.”
It is:
“Let them encounter Jesus.”

FROM DARKNESS INTO LIGHT
John 10:10 gives us a sobering contrast:
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”
But Jesus says:
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
There are competing purposes at work.
Destruction versus life.
Stealing versus abundance.
Death versus resurrection.
Darkness versus light.
That is why guarding our faith matters.
We don’t have to live paranoid or afraid.
But we do need to remain watchful.
Stay in the Word.
Stay close to Jesus.
Guard what God has entrusted to you.

THE NARROW GATE
Matthew 7:14 says:
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life…”
That is not necessarily the message we hear most often in a culture that tells us every road leads somewhere equally good.
Jesus described a narrow way.
Following Christ requires a response.
It requires surrender.
It requires obedience.
It requires faith.
It requires choosing God’s way when another way appears easier.
The narrow path isn’t about earning salvation through our own works.
It is about recognizing that following Jesus actually means following Jesus.

FREEDOM FOR THE CAPTIVES
There are people living under the influence of darkness, deception, addiction, fear, sin, false beliefs, and spiritual bondage.
Our response should not be hatred toward them.
It should be prayer.
Isaiah 61 and Luke 4 remind us that liberty is part of the mission of the Anointed One.
Jesus came to set people free.
So when we pray for those who are bound, we are praying that they encounter the Liberator.
That they see the light.
That they hear truth.
That they receive the Gospel.
That they are brought out of darkness and into His marvelous light.

THE FIERY FURNACE
But here’s where believing gets interesting.
Sometimes God answers our prayers by taking us through a process we would never have chosen.
The fiery furnace.
The refining.
The pressure.
The waiting.
The stretching.
The uncomfortable places where our faith gets tested.
The analogy of gold became especially meaningful to me.
Gold is valuable before it goes through the refining process.
The fire doesn’t create the gold.
It reveals and purifies what is already there.
And sometimes God allows us to walk through processes that expose what is in us so He can transform us.

THE SEED DOESN’T LOOK LIKE THE TREE
Look at a seed.
It doesn’t look like the tree.
It doesn’t look like the fruit.
It doesn’t look like the shade.
It doesn’t look like the harvest.
But the potential is there.
The seed has to go into the ground.
It has to be covered.
It has to be watered.
It has to break open.
And eventually, something begins to emerge.
Sometimes we look at our current lives and wonder:
“Where is the promise?”
But God may be saying:
“You’re looking at the seed and expecting it to look like the harvest.”

CAPACITY MATTERS
This is one of the things I believe God has been teaching me personally.
Sometimes we’re asking God for something bigger while He is working on our capacity to carry it.
We want the platform.
He may be building character.
We want the harvest.
He may be strengthening our roots.
We want the manifestation.
He may be developing our endurance.
We want the promise.
He may be preparing the vessel.
The process isn’t necessarily evidence that the promise has disappeared.
Sometimes the process is part of the preparation for the promise.

GOD DOESN’T WASTE THE FIRE
When you’re in the fire, it can be difficult to see anything except the fire.
But refinement has purpose.
The furnace doesn’t get the final word.
The fire doesn’t get the final word.
The waiting doesn’t get the final word.
God does.
And sometimes what feels like delay is actually development.
What feels like pressure may be producing endurance.
What feels like stretching may be increasing capacity.
What feels like hiddenness may be developing roots.

THERE IS A HARVEST
Galatians 6:7 gives us another sobering Kingdom principle:
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
There is a harvest connected to what we sow.
Our choices matter.
Our obedience matters.
Our treatment of people matters.
Our words matter.
Our spiritual lives matter.
This is why grace should never be interpreted as an invitation to live carelessly.
God is gracious.
But He is also holy.
And Scripture repeatedly calls us to examine what we are planting because eventually something grows.

RETRIBUTION IS GOD’S BUSINESS
Another significant portion of this teaching dealt with retribution and vengeance.
This requires discernment because human beings can easily confuse justice with personal revenge.
Romans 12:19 says:
“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves…”
And then:
“Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
That changes the posture.
We don’t have to become consumed with getting even.
We don’t have to personally carry the burden of making everything right.
We can trust God with justice.
That doesn’t mean ignoring wrongdoing.
It means refusing to make personal revenge our mission.
God can handle what we cannot.

THE ENEMY UNDER OUR FEET
Luke 10:19 was another important Scripture in this teaching:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy…”
This speaks to delegated authority under Christ.
But authority must remain connected to the One who gives it.
We don’t exercise spiritual authority independently of Jesus.
We don’t make ourselves the source.
Jesus is the source.
The authority points back to Him.

CHRIST LIVES IN ME
And then Galatians 2:20 brings the entire conversation into perspective:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”
This is the heart of it.
Not I.
Christ.
Not my strength.
His strength.
Not my righteousness.
His grace.
Not my agenda.
His will.
Not my glory.
His glory.
If Christ lives in me, then my life is no longer simply about getting God to fulfill everything I want.
It becomes about allowing Christ to live through me.

THE CURRENCY OF SOULS
One of the strongest metaphors in the livestream was describing souls as spiritual “currency.”
The enemy’s agenda is destruction.
God’s desire is redemption.
So when we pray for people who are bound, deceived, or far from God, we are praying for lives to be reclaimed for the Kingdom.
Not because people are possessions.
But because people matter to God.
Jesus gave His life for people.
That is the value.
So our warfare should never become about hatred for people.
We fight for people in prayer.
We pray that they encounter Jesus.
We pray that deception is broken.
We pray that darkness gives way to light.
We pray that captives become free.
We pray that prodigals come home.

BELIEVING THROUGH THE PROCESS
Here’s where all the pieces begin to connect.
If God has given a promise, I don’t have to understand every step between the promise and the fulfillment.
My responsibility is to remain faithful to Him.
The seed doesn’t have to understand the tree.
The bride doesn’t have to understand every detail of the wedding.
The gold doesn’t have to understand the refinery.
The believer doesn’t have to understand every chapter before turning the page.
Only believe.
Keep walking.
Keep praying.
Keep listening.
Keep obeying.
Keep your relationship with Jesus intact.

YOUR DREAMS, YOUR STORIES, YOUR WALK
Throughout the livestream, I also shared personal dreams, stories, and experiences—even things that came through watching movies.
These moments reminded me of something important:
God can use ordinary moments to provoke extraordinary questions.
But every experience still needs to be brought back to Him.
Not every dream is automatically a revelation.
Not every coincidence is a prophecy.
Not every emotional experience is a divine instruction.
That’s why relationship with Jesus and knowledge of His Word matter so much.
Experiences can prompt us to seek.
Scripture gives us the anchor.

THE PROMISE DOESN’T REMOVE THE PROCESS
We sometimes think that if God promised something, the road to it should be easy.
But Scripture repeatedly shows us otherwise.
Joseph had a promise and a pit.
David had an anointing and a wilderness.
Moses had a calling and a process.
Jesus had a mission and a cross.
The presence of a process does not automatically mean the absence of God.
Sometimes God is present in the process.
And sometimes the process becomes part of the testimony.

WHAT IF THE WAIT IS WORKING?
What if God is doing more than you realize?
What if the delay is developing you?
What if the hidden season is strengthening your roots?
What if the thing you’re calling “nothing” is actually preparation?
What if God is increasing your capacity because what you’re asking Him to carry through you requires a vessel that can sustain it?
That doesn’t mean we romanticize suffering.
It means we trust God enough to ask:
“Lord, what are You developing in me here?”

ONLY BELIEVE
Believing doesn’t mean pretending.
It doesn’t mean denying reality.
It doesn’t mean refusing to acknowledge pain.
It doesn’t mean manufacturing certainty where God hasn’t spoken.
It means that when God has spoken, we trust His character.
We believe His Word.
We remain in relationship.
We obey what He has made clear.
And we allow Him to handle what we cannot control.

THE KINGDOM COORDINATE
This livestream left me with a simple Kingdom Coordinate:
BELIEVE THE PROMISE. EMBRACE THE PROCESS. STAY WITH JESUS.
Don’t despise the seed because it doesn’t look like the tree.
Don’t despise the refining because you’re not yet seeing the finished product.
Don’t abandon the covenant because the process is taking longer than expected.
Don’t allow the enemy’s darkness to make you forget God’s light.
And don’t become so focused on what you’re waiting for that you lose communion with the One you are waiting with.
The greatest promise isn’t simply what God can give us.
The greatest gift is God Himself.

YES AND AMEN
God’s promises are not dependent upon my ability to control every circumstance.
My part is to believe Him, follow Him, and remain close to Him.
When He says yes, it is yes.
When He says amen, it is amen.
When He says wait, I can wait.
When He says move, I can move.
When He says repent, I can repent.
When He says forgive, I can forgive.
When He says pray, I can pray.
When He says believe—
I can believe.
So, Beautiful Believer, keep going.
The seed is not the harvest yet.
The gold is not finished in the furnace yet.
The promise may not look like the manifestation yet.
But God is still God in the middle.
Only believe.
Stay right.
Stay tight.
Stay connected.
Stay surrendered.
Stay in the Word.
Stay in communion with Jesus.
And let Him finish what He began.

BELIEVE GOD.
TRUST HIS WORD.
STAY IN COVENANT.
PRAY FOR THE CAPTIVES.
CHOOSE LIGHT OVER DARKNESS.
LET GOD REFINE YOU.
DON’T DESPISE THE SEED.
DON’T RUN FROM THE PROCESS.
LEAVE VENGEANCE TO GOD.
LET CHRIST LIVE THROUGH YOU.
STAY RIGHT AND TIGHT WITH JESUS.
AND KEEP BELIEVING.
The promise is not the destination.
The process is not the punishment.
The refining is not the end.
Jesus is with you through it all.
Only believe.
Kingdom Coordinates.
Kingdom Alignment.
Kingdom Purpose.
Jesus Christ at the Center.
