THE INTEGRITY OF THE KINGDOM
Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart - July 17, 2026
There is a word the Lord kept bringing before me during this session:
Integrity.
Integrity is consistency.
It is being the same person when people are watching and when nobody is watching.
It is honesty.
Dependability.
Wholeness.
It is refusing to live one way in one environment and another way somewhere else.
For the believer, integrity goes even deeper.
Integrity is alignment with God.
Our words, choices, relationships, habits, private lives, public lives, and spiritual lives should increasingly come into agreement with the Word of God.
And Proverbs 3 gives us a beautiful blueprint for how that happens.
TRUST GOD MORE THAN YOU TRUST YOURSELF
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5
This sounds simple until God asks us to do something we do not understand.
We like explanations.
We like plans.
We like knowing what happens next.
But sometimes God says:
Trust Me.
There have been times during these livestreams when I have shown up without knowing exactly what I was going to say.
I simply knew I was supposed to show up.
That requires dependence.
And God has been teaching me not to depend upon my own ability to figure everything out before I obey Him.
That lesson is not just for ministry.
It is for life.
ACKNOWLEDGE HIM IN ALL YOUR WAYS
Proverbs continues:
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
— Proverbs 3:6
Notice that it says all your ways.
Not only ministry.
Not only Sunday morning.
Not only prayer time.
All your ways.
Our finances.
Our conversations.
Our business decisions.
Our relationships.
Our schedules.
Our entertainment.
Our responses.
Our private thoughts.
Our public behavior.
Everything belongs before God.
Integrity says, “Lord, You are welcome here too.”
There should not be areas of our lives where Jesus is Lord and other areas where we have quietly decided to become lord ourselves.
DO NOT BE WISE IN YOUR OWN EYES
Proverbs 3 continues:
“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
— Proverbs 3:7
This is where integrity requires humility.
Sometimes the greatest obstacle to hearing God is believing we already know.
We have our opinions.
Our experiences.
Our preferences.
Our plans.
But God’s wisdom is higher than ours.
There are moments when obedience will require us to admit:
“Lord, I don’t know.”
And that is not weakness.
That is a beautiful place of dependence.
Because when I stop pretending that I know everything, I become teachable.
When I become teachable, God can direct me.
KEEP MERCY AND TRUTH CLOSE
Proverbs 3 also tells us:
“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart.”
— Proverbs 3:3
I love this picture.
Mercy and truth.
Not truth without mercy.
Not mercy without truth.
Both.
Integrity requires truth because integrity cannot survive deception.
But Kingdom integrity also carries mercy because we represent Jesus Christ.
What would happen if mercy and truth were written upon our hearts so deeply that they became our automatic response?
Before we answer the phone.
Before we respond to the text.
Before we send the email.
Before we react emotionally.
Before we make the decision.
Mercy and truth.
WATCH THE SMALL DOORS OF COMPROMISE
Compromise does not always announce itself dramatically.
Sometimes it arrives as a distraction.
A conversation.
A notification.
A relationship.
An opportunity.
A thought that says:
“It isn’t that serious.”
But small inconsistencies eventually become larger discrepancies if they are continually ignored.
That is why we need the Word.
God’s Word becomes a mirror.
It reveals where something in us is moving out of alignment.
And instead of becoming offended when the Word corrects us, we should thank God.
Correction is an opportunity to come back into alignment.
THIS WORD IS FOOD
During the livestream I kept returning to Scripture as food.
Because that is what it is.
You cannot live spiritually nourished while starving yourself of God’s Word.
We consume so much information every day.
Messages.
Videos.
News.
Opinions.
Social media.
Conversations.
But what are we feeding our spirits?
The Word of God nourishes us.
It corrects us.
It strengthens us.
It teaches us.
It renews our minds.
It reminds us who God is and who we are in Him.
Do not merely visit Scripture occasionally.
Eat.
WHEN THE WORD ENTERS, THINGS CHANGE
Acts 19 gives us a powerful example.
The Gospel was spreading through Ephesus, and people who had practiced magic began believing in Jesus.
Their response was not merely verbal.
They acted.
They confessed what they had practiced.
They brought their books together.
And they burned them.
They made a clean break with their former practices.
Then Scripture tells us:
“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.”
— Acts 19:20
That is integrity.
When truth enters your life, eventually your life should begin agreeing with the truth you say you believe.
Following Jesus is not about adding Him to everything else.
Jesus becomes Lord.
And when He exposes something that does not belong, integrity responds with obedience.
IF GOD IS FOR US
Walking in integrity does not mean walking in fear.
Romans 8 reminds us:
“If God be for us, who can be against us?”
— Romans 8:31
Our confidence is not in ourselves.
Our confidence is in Christ.
Jesus died.
Jesus rose.
Jesus intercedes for us.
So believers do not have to live constantly intimidated by opposition.
We belong to God.
We can pray.
We can stand upon His Word.
We can resist fear.
We can continue obeying.
We can keep advancing the Gospel.
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
And that brings us again to the burden for souls.
Billions for Christ.
There are people across the nations who do not yet know Jesus.
People trapped in darkness.
People searching for truth.
People who have never heard the Gospel clearly.
People who desperately need the light of Jesus Christ.
So we intercede.
We pray for people from every nation, language, culture, and background.
We pray that eyes will be opened.
We pray that hearts will turn toward Jesus.
We pray that those bound by darkness will encounter the light of the Gospel.
We pray for billions of souls to be saved.
And we continue proclaiming the name of Jesus.
INTEGRITY BEFORE INFLUENCE
We live in a culture fascinated with influence.
How many people follow you?
How many people know your name?
How large is your platform?
But Heaven asks a different question:
Can God trust you?
Can He trust you when nobody applauds?
Can He trust you when obedience costs something?
Can He trust you with influence without influence changing you?
Can He trust you to tell the truth?
Can He trust you to remain dependent upon Him?
Can He trust you to acknowledge Him in all your ways?
Before asking God for greater influence, we should welcome Him into the deeper places of our character.
Because Kingdom influence without Kingdom integrity is dangerous.
THE INVITATION
So today, I am not asking you merely to examine what you are doing.
I am asking you to examine who you are becoming.
Ask the Lord:
Is there any place in my life where I am leaning on my own understanding?
Is there an area where I have allowed compromise?
Is there something You have told me to release?
Is there somewhere I have stopped acknowledging You?
Is my private life consistent with what I proclaim publicly?
Then give God permission to answer.
Open His Word.
Listen.
Receive correction.
Make the adjustment.
And keep walking.
You do not need to manufacture perfection.
You need to remain surrendered to the One who is transforming you.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Do not lean on your own understanding.
Acknowledge Him in all your ways.
And let Him direct your path.
That is more than a Scripture to memorize.
It is a way to live.
