THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM
Stop Waiting. Start Operating. - August 26, 2026
There are moments in ministry when you have absolutely no idea what you are supposed to talk about.
That was where I found myself when this livestream began.
I didn’t have a neatly prepared topic. I didn’t have everything mapped out. I simply had a prompting from God:
Proceed.
And as I sat with that instruction, something became very clear:
I didn’t need to manufacture a message.
I needed to operate with the authority I had already been given.
THE KEYS HAVE ALREADY BEEN GIVEN
Jesus asked His disciples a question:
“But whom say ye that I am?”
Peter answered:
“Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus then spoke about the revelation Peter had received and declared:
“I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven.”

That word keys caught my attention.
A key represents access.
A key represents authority.
A key gives you the ability to enter, unlock, open, or exercise access to something that has already been entrusted to you.
And Jesus wasn’t simply talking about having information about the Kingdom.
He was talking about Kingdom authority.
BINDING AND LOOSING
Matthew 16:19 continues:
“And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Then Jesus reinforces the principle in Matthew 18:
“What things soever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

This is not permission to speak whatever we want and call it Kingdom authority.
Our authority operates in alignment with God.
That distinction matters.
We are not attempting to make heaven obey us.
We are learning to bring our earthly prayers, declarations, decisions, and actions into agreement with what God has revealed.
Heaven is the source.
God’s Word is the standard.
Christ is the authority.
STOP WAITING FOR ANOTHER CONFIRMATION
One of the things I felt strongly during this livestream was this:
Stop waiting for external confirmation to do what God has already given you authority to do.
Sometimes we keep asking God for another sign, another confirmation, another feeling, another person to validate what He has already placed in His Word.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom keys are sitting in our hands.
We know how to pray.
We know how to petition.
We know how to praise.
We know how to speak God’s Word.
We know how to agree with Scripture.
We know how to ask.
We know how to seek.
We know how to knock.
So sometimes the next step isn’t another confirmation.
Sometimes the next step is simply:
Proceed.
DECIDE AND DECREE
Job 22:28 says:
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee.”
This Scripture has become significant in my understanding of Kingdom operation.
But I don’t believe biblical declaration means repeating empty phrases or using spiritual-sounding clichés.
There is a difference between positive thinking and agreement with God’s Word.
There is a difference between declaring what I want and declaring what God has said.
My confidence isn’t in the power of my personality.
My confidence is in the authority of the One whose Word I am agreeing with.
So when I speak, I want my words to be submitted to Scripture.
Not my will dressed up as God’s will.
Not fear disguised as prophecy.
Not human ambition disguised as faith.
God’s Word.
God’s will.
God’s Kingdom.
GOD DAILY LOADS US WITH BENEFITS
Psalm 68 became another major part of this livestream.
Verse 19 says:
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.”
Daily.
Not occasionally.
Not only when everything looks good.
Daily.
And then Psalm 68:1 gives us a declaration that has become almost impossible for me to read without wanting to say it out loud:
“Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered.”
That isn’t merely a verse to read quietly.
There are Scriptures that make you want to stand up.
There are Scriptures that make you want to sing.
There are Scriptures that make you want to pray.
There are Scriptures that remind you who your God is.
And sometimes praise itself becomes an act of agreement.
THE POWER OF AGREEMENT
Jesus also said:
“If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
— Matthew 18:19 KJV
Agreement matters.
There is power in believers coming together in prayer and bringing their requests before God.
But biblical agreement isn’t simply two people wanting the same thing.
It is agreement in the presence and purposes of God.
That is why Scripture matters so much.
It gives us something greater than our opinions to agree upon.
When we come together around God’s Word, God’s character, God’s promises, and God’s purposes, we aren’t merely creating a consensus.
We are seeking Kingdom alignment.
PRAYER WITHOUT ANXIETY
Philippians 4:6–7 gives us another key:
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Notice the instruction:
Don’t be anxious. Pray.
Don’t carry it. Give it to God.
Don’t just worry about it. Make your petition known.
And do it with thanksgiving.
Then comes the promise:
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
The goal isn’t merely getting what we requested.
The goal is also being guarded by the peace of God while we trust Him with the outcome.
That’s Kingdom operation.
AUTHORITY OVER THE POWER OF THE ENEMY
Jesus told His disciples:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.”
— Luke 10:19 KJV
Again, the authority doesn’t originate with us.
Jesus gives it.
That’s important because spiritual authority without submission to Christ can become presumption.
Our authority is delegated authority.
We operate under the authority of the King.
And because Jesus is the King, we don’t have to be intimidated by the enemy.
John 16:11 reminds us that the ruler of this world has been judged.
We don’t have to spend our lives fascinated with darkness.
We can keep our eyes on Jesus.
THE WORD WAS IN THE BEGINNING
John 1 takes us even deeper:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
And verse 2 tells us:
“The same was in the beginning with God.”
Our confidence in the Word isn’t based on motivational power.
The Word is connected to the eternal Christ.
Jesus is not merely someone who uses God’s Word.
Jesus is the Word.
That changes the way I think about speaking Scripture.
I’m not trying to make my words powerful.
I’m agreeing myself with the One who already is.
THE HALL OF FAITH
Later in the livestream, we spent significant time in Hebrews 11.
What a chapter.
It recounts people who believed God when circumstances gave them plenty of reasons not to.
They obtained promises.
They subdued kingdoms.
They stopped the mouths of lions.
They endured.
They acted.
They trusted.
They believed.
And yet Hebrews 12 gives us something astonishing after the Hall of Faith:
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”
— Hebrews 12:2 KJV
This is where the distinction becomes so beautiful to me.
Those believers had to trust God without seeing the fulfillment of everything promised to them.
But we have the revelation of Jesus Christ.
We have the completed work of Christ.
We have the Holy Spirit.
We have the Word.
We have access to the Father through Christ.
We have been given Kingdom keys.
So what are we waiting for?
THE KINGDOM IS MEANT TO BE IN OPERATION
I believe the Kingdom of God is not supposed to remain an idea we discuss during church services.
It is meant to affect how we live.
How we pray.
How we think.
How we respond.
How we raise our families.
How we conduct our businesses.
How we serve.
How we leave a legacy.
How we confront fear.
How we walk through trials.
How we pray for healing.
How we intercede for our communities.
How we speak over the next generation.
How we respond when circumstances appear to contradict what God has said.
The Kingdom is meant to be in operation.
And that operation begins with surrender to the King.
THE KEY IS NOT THE KING
A key is useful because it gives access.
But the key isn’t the destination.
The authority isn’t the destination.
The declaration isn’t the destination.
The miracle isn’t the destination.
Jesus is.
That’s why I keep coming back to Him.
Because the more I learn about Kingdom authority, the more I realize that true authority doesn’t make me independent of Jesus.
It makes me more dependent on Him.
The closer I get to the King, the more carefully I want to represent the Kingdom.
SO… PROCEED.
Maybe you’re waiting for another confirmation.
Maybe you’re waiting until you feel more qualified.
Maybe you’re waiting until circumstances change.
Maybe you’re waiting for somebody else to tell you that you can move.
But what if God has already given you the instruction?
What if the Word has already spoken?
What if the next Kingdom Coordinate isn’t another revelation?
What if it’s obedience?
Proceed.
Pray.
Ask.
Seek.
Knock.
Agree with God’s Word.
Speak what He has said.
Praise Him before you see the answer.
Stand on His promises.
Use the keys He has entrusted to you.
And when you don’t know exactly what to do next—
stay close to the King.
Because the goal isn’t simply to learn how to use Kingdom keys.
The goal is to know the King who gave them.
KINGDOM COORDINATES
KNOW THE KING.
KNOW HIS WORD.
KNOW YOUR AUTHORITY.
AGREE WITH HEAVEN.
PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING.
PROCEED IN FAITH.
KEEP JESUS AT THE CENTER.
The keys have been given.
Now—
operate in alignment.
