THE WORD IS ALIVE
Speak the Word. Stand Your Ground. Expect God to Move. - July 1, 2026
The livestream had barely begun before there was resistance.
Camera issues.
Technical problems.
Distractions.
Things that could have easily become reasons to stop.
But the assignment remained the assignment.
So we kept going.
Sometimes victory begins with something very simple:
You refuse to quit.
You keep praying.
You keep worshiping.
You keep speaking God’s Word.
You keep showing up.
And you remember who your God is.
Is Anything Too Hard for Me?
Early in the livestream, worship carried us into the words of Jeremiah 32:27:
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”
That question changes the atmosphere of our thinking.
What are you facing that you have unconsciously decided is too difficult for God?
A family situation?
Financial pressure?
A health challenge?
A seemingly impossible assignment?
Something you have prayed about for years?
God identifies Himself first:
I AM THE LORD.
Then:
The God of all flesh.
Then comes the question:
Is anything too hard for Me?
Before we magnify the problem, we must remember the magnitude of our God.
Speak the Word
Hebrews 4:12 tells us that God’s Word is living, active, and powerful.
The Bible is not merely a collection of inspirational statements.
The Word exposes.
The Word corrects.
The Word instructs.
The Word renews our thinking.
The Word reveals the character and purposes of God.
And when circumstances are shouting something contrary to truth, we return to what God has said.
This is why believers must know Scripture.
You cannot consistently speak what you never take time to learn.
Read it.
Study it.
Meditate upon it.
Pray it.
Live it.
And when the battle comes—
stand on it.
Spiritual Warfare Begins With Submission
We talked extensively about spiritual warfare during this livestream.
But biblical spiritual authority should never become fascination with darkness.
Our focus remains Jesus Christ.
We do not magnify the enemy.
We magnify God.
We resist evil while remaining surrendered to Jesus.
We confront lies with truth.
We bring thoughts into alignment with God’s Word.
And we refuse to allow fear to dictate our decisions.
The objective is not to spend our lives searching for demons behind everything that goes wrong.
The objective is to remain so rooted in Christ that when opposition comes, we know where to stand.
When the Enemy Comes One Way
Deuteronomy 28:7 describes enemies rising against God’s people one way and fleeing seven ways.
Throughout Scripture we repeatedly see this pattern:
Opposition rises.
God remains sovereign.
His people trust Him.
And what looked intimidating does not get the final word.
Sometimes we become so focused on what is coming toward us that we forget who stands with us.
Do not allow the appearance of opposition to convince you that God has lost control.
Stand.
Pray.
Obey.
And trust Him.
Scatter the Darkness
Psalm 144 contains vivid language asking God to intervene against enemies:
Send forth lightning.
Scatter them.
Deliver me.
Rescue me.
These prayers remind us that we can bring battles to God.
We do not have to carry every fight ourselves.
There are situations where the wisest prayer may simply be:
“Lord, You handle this.”
God knows what we cannot see.
He understands motives we cannot discern.
He sees the entire battlefield.
So instead of becoming consumed with retaliation, we can place matters into His hands.
Believe God
Second Chronicles 20:20 reminds God’s people:
Believe in the LORD your God.
The surrounding story is extraordinary because Judah was facing an enemy it could not defeat naturally.
Their answer was not greater human strength.
They sought God.
And God gave instruction.
This is one of the great lessons of spiritual warfare:
Do not allow panic to become your strategist.
Seek God first.
What is He saying?
What does His Word say?
What is the obedient response?
There are battles we make harder because fear causes us to start moving before we have listened.
The Fast God Chooses
Isaiah 58 gives us another important dimension of spiritual warfare.
God confronts fasting that is outwardly religious while the heart and lifestyle remain unchanged.
Then He describes the fast He desires:
Loosing the bonds of wickedness.
Undoing heavy burdens.
Letting the oppressed go free.
Breaking every yoke.
Caring for people in need.
And then comes beautiful language of restoration:
Light breaking forth.
Healing springing forth.
Ancient ruins rebuilt.
Foundations restored.
And God’s people being called:
Repairers of the breach.
This is Kingdom work.
Fasting is not about convincing God that we are spiritual.
It is about humbling ourselves before Him and allowing Him to transform us.
Decide and Decree
Job 22:28 became another important scripture in the session:
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee…”
But declaring Scripture is not about using words as a magic formula.
Our confidence is not in the volume of our voice.
Our confidence is in God.
So when we speak, we seek agreement with His truth.
We declare His character.
We proclaim His promises in their biblical context.
We speak faith rather than continually feeding fear.
And then we walk in obedience to what we have declared.
Because Kingdom declarations and Kingdom lifestyles belong together.
You Belong to Christ
We also talked about maintaining a Kingdom perspective.
The world continually attempts to define us by what we possess, what we desire, what we fear, and what controls us.
But believers belong to Christ.
We do not have to live enslaved to appetites, addictions, lusts, trends, or worldly systems.
Freedom begins when we remember:
Jesus is Lord.
Not the addiction.
Not the craving.
Not money.
Not approval.
Not fear.
Not circumstances.
Jesus.
When He occupies His rightful place, everything else must be brought into proper order.
The Battle Is Not Bigger Than God
Sometimes the first victory happens before circumstances change.
It happens when your perspective changes.
You stop saying:
“This is impossible.”
And begin remembering:
“Nothing is too hard for God.”
You stop magnifying opposition.
You magnify Jesus.
You stop rehearsing fear.
You rehearse the Word.
You stop allowing distractions to dictate whether you fulfill your assignment.
And you keep showing up.
The camera can malfunction.
Keep going.
Opposition can arise.
Keep praying.
Circumstances can look impossible.
Keep believing.
Fear can knock.
Answer it with truth.
Because the Word you are standing upon is not dead.
THE WORD IS ALIVE.
Living.
Active.
Powerful.
Sharper than any two-edged sword.
So open your Bible.
Fill your heart.
Renew your mind.
Speak God’s truth.
Stand your ground.
And expect God to move according to His perfect will.
