We Will Declare the Works of the Lord
The Ministry of Reconciliation Belongs to Every Believer - July 13, 2026
There comes a point in our walk with Jesus when we have to decide whose system we are going to live by.
Will we be governed by what we see, what we hear, what the world says, and what circumstances appear to dictate?
Or will we live according to the Kingdom of God?
During this livestream, we were reminded again of something that remains true in every season:
God is faithful.
Circumstances change. Seasons change. People change. Our emotions may even change. But God does not cease to be faithful because we are walking through something difficult.
His Word remains true.
And when doubt, fear, intimidation, or discouragement attempts to speak louder than what God has said, we return to His Word, repent wherever necessary, surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to lead us into truth.
We will declare the works of the Lord.
You Have Been Given a Ministry
One of the central scriptures of this livestream was 2 Corinthians 5:18–20.
Scripture tells us that God has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
Think about that.
If you belong to Christ, you have been entrusted with a ministry.
You do not need a robe to tell someone about Jesus.
You do not need an impressive title before you can pray for someone.
You do not need a platform before you can share the Gospel.
You do not need human recognition before you can live as an ambassador for Christ.
We certainly honor the gifts, offices, leadership, and order God establishes within His Body. But our responsibility to represent Jesus does not begin when people give us a title.
It begins with Christ.
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:18 KJV
We have been reconciled so that we can carry the message of reconciliation.
That means wherever God has placed you—your home, workplace, neighborhood, business, family, community, or even a conversation with a stranger—you can represent the heart of the Father.
Relationship Over Religious Performance
There is a difference between honoring godly leadership and surrendering our responsibility to know God for ourselves.
Read the Word.
Study the Word.
Pray.
Seek God.
Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you.
We should never become so dependent upon another person’s relationship with God that we neglect cultivating our own.
Ephesians 5:1 calls us to be imitators of God.
Our ultimate example is not a personality, pastor, ministry, denomination, movement, or system.
It is God.
The goal is not to become a copy of another believer.
The goal is to become increasingly conformed to Christ.
Kingdom Authority Is Not Intimidated
We also talked about the authority believers have through Jesus Christ.
The world will present circumstances that appear final.
A report may say one thing.
A diagnosis may say another.
Your bank account may tell another story.
Your family circumstances may look completely contrary to what you have been praying.
But circumstances do not require us to abandon faith.
We can acknowledge what is happening while continuing to declare what God has said.
Faith does not require pretending that a circumstance does not exist. Faith determines which voice receives the final authority in our hearts.
So speak the Word.
Pray the Word.
Stand upon the Word.
And allow the Holy Spirit to direct you in wisdom, obedience, and truth.
Intercession Reaches Beyond Us
Job 22:30 became another important reminder during our time together: our prayers are not merely about ourselves.
We intercede.
We pray for families.
We pray for communities.
We pray for nations.
We pray for people who do not yet know Jesus.
We even pray for those who may be participating in things contrary to God, because the heart of reconciliation is not simply that darkness be exposed—it is that people be rescued from it.
Acts 19 gives us a powerful picture of transformation. People who had practiced magic turned from those practices, publicly renounced them, and destroyed the materials connected with their former lives.
That is what we desire:
Not merely confrontation.
Transformation.
Not merely exposure.
Salvation.
Not merely people coming out of darkness.
People coming into the marvelous light of Jesus Christ.
God Still Has a Plan
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God knows the plans He has for His people—plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give a future and a hope.
But the passage continues with an invitation to seek Him.
This is bigger than quoting a promise.
God wants our hearts.
Seek Him.
Call upon Him.
Pray.
Search for Him with your whole heart.
Our confidence is not found in attempting to control the outcome. Our confidence is found in knowing the One who holds us through it.
We Will Declare His Works
This is the charge:
Know Jesus for yourself.
Know His Word.
Walk with the Holy Spirit.
Be an ambassador for Christ.
Carry the ministry of reconciliation wherever God sends you.
Pray for those who are bound.
Speak truth in love.
Refuse intimidation.
And never forget that your authority comes from Jesus Christ—not human applause, recognition, or titles.
We have been reconciled.
We have been commissioned.
And now we carry the message:
Be reconciled to God.
May our lives declare His goodness.
May our mouths declare His faithfulness.
May our obedience declare His Lordship.
And from generation to generation, may we continue to testify:
We will declare the works of the Lord!
