There are moments in life when words don’t come easy—when everything you’ve been through sits heavy on your chest, and you’re not sure how to release it. Creating “Chasing It” was one of those moments for me. This song isn’t just music. It’s a piece of my life, my healing, my truth.
My journey hasn’t been simple. I’ve faced things that tried to break me—domestic violence, rape, molestation, financial hardship, mental battles, and seasons of deep depression. There were times I didn’t know how I would make it through, times I questioned my worth, my purpose, even my future. But somehow, through every dark moment, God kept me. Even when I didn’t fully understand it, He was there.
Making this song was different. It wasn’t just about writing lyrics or creating a sound—it was emotional. It was me confronting pain I’ve carried for years and choosing to turn it into something meaningful. Every line holds a piece of my story. Every beat carries a part of my healing.
“Chasing It” is bigger than me. It’s for anyone who has ever felt broken, overlooked, or ready to give up. I want people to understand that no matter how heavy life gets, with God, all things are possible. Your story doesn’t end in your pain. There is purpose in your process.
This journey is still unfolding, but I’m learning not to give up—even on the days when it feels easier to. And if this song does anything, I hope it reminds you to keep going too.
To everyone who supports this single, please know it means more than just a purchase. You’re not just buying a song—you’re supporting me, my journey, my healing, and the purpose God has placed in my life. That support helps me continue to create, to grow, and to share my story in a way that can reach others.
I also want to take a moment to thank my family, my friends, and my community. Your love, your encouragement, and your belief in me have carried me through some of my hardest moments. I don’t take that for granted.
This is my truth. This is my journey. And this is me… still chasing it.
