Why I Started Making Coastal Family Printables

Hi! I'm Marisa, I’ve grown up on the beaches and gulf waters of Destin, FL, and one thing I’ve noticed over the years is that families visiting the area ask a lot of the same questions.

What should we pack for the beach?

What do we do if it rains?

Where can we take the kids?

What’s fun for teens?

What can we do that doesn’t cost a fortune?

What should we know before going to Crab Island?

Where should we go in Destin, Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island, or Pensacola?

And honestly, I get it!

Planning a beach trip sounds simple until you are trying to figure out what to bring, where to go, what to do with different ages, how to handle the weather, and how to avoid wasting money on things that may not be worth it for your family.

Since I’m local and have spent my life around these beaches, towns, activities, and family routines, I’ve learned a lot of the little things that make a trip easier.

Not fancy travel-agent stuff.

Real-life mom stuff.

The kind of things you usually learn from living here, raising kids here, going to the beach over and over, dealing with Florida weather, packing too much, forgetting things, finding the easy spots, and learning what actually works for families.

That’s why I created Coastal Family Printables.

I wanted to make simple, helpful beach trip pages that answer the questions families are already asking — without making anyone scroll through a hundred posts, search five different Facebook groups, or feel overwhelmed trying to plan the “perfect” vacation.

These printables are made to be quick and easy.

You can print them, save them to your phone, bring them in the car, keep them in your beach bag, or use them while planning before your trip.

Inside the shop, you’ll find simple helpers for:

  • Beach packing
  • Rainy days
  • Kid-friendly activities
  • Big kid and teen ideas
  • Free and low-cost things to do
  • Things to do by location
  • Crab Island planning
  • Snack and meal planning
  • Local mom tips

My goal is not to overplan your vacation.

It’s to make the little decisions easier so your family can spend more time enjoying the beach, exploring the area, and making memories.

The Emerald Coast is beautiful, but it can also be busy, hot, rainy, expensive, and confusing if you don’t know the area.

So I’m sharing what I’ve learned in a simple, family-friendly way.

Whether you’re visiting Navarre, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island, Miramar Beach, Pensacola Beach, or nearby areas, I hope these printables help you feel a little more prepared and a lot less overwhelmed.

Because some of the best vacation memories happen when you have a simple plan, a packed beach bag, snacks ready, and a few backup ideas just in case.
