Progress Happens Underground First
Purple carrots in a pot.
That’s where this reflection began.
When I decided to grow purple carrots in containers on my patio, I realized something important: most of the growth was happening where no one could see it.
Beneath the soil.
In the dark.
Quietly.
And it hit me.
“Progress happens underground first.”
That’s not just about carrots.
That’s about writing this book.
Building this brand.
Growing confidence.
Overcoming fears.
Quietly preparing for harvest.
This entire journey of creating Pot & Patio Wellness Garden has been just that: Progress beneath the surface.
I'm starting with curiosity.
A few pots.
Some soil.
A desire to grow cleaner food.
And, honestly, a fear of bugs.
But growth doesn’t wait for perfection.
It begins in the dark.
It begins when no one is clapping.
When there are no sales yet.
When the plants haven’t sprouted.
When the confidence is still forming.
The truth is, we often want visible results before we’ve allowed invisible work to take root.
But seeds don’t grow in sunlight first.
They grow underground.
And that’s where I’ve been.
Writing.
Learning.
Planning.
Designing.
Planting.
This book isn’t just instructional.
It’s intentional.
It’s storytelling through gardening.
It’s a visual trilogy that reflects life:
🌱 Every seed starts in the dark.
🌧️ A little rain can bring beautiful change.
🥕 Progress happens underground first.
My intention with this project is to be inspirational, not just instructional.
To remind you (and myself) that growth takes time. That fear can be faced. That small beginnings are still beginnings.
I’m growing something special.
And I’m inviting you to grow with me.
One seed at a time.
Let’s glow together. 🌿
