February's chill slowly gives way to Spring's arrival; the bitter bite of snow on flesh thaws into reluctant warmth. Thoughts of packing away snow boots & thick socks begin.
Soon I'll leave the once-hallowed halls of the Inn at Blackstone as I drift toward new adventures. The socks
& shoes that accompanied me this month will be packed away for another year.
Blackstone in Winter was a joy to behold. Crisp snow on frozen skin. Ancient wooden floors beneath my feet as I regained ambient warmth. If you visit, remember me as you wander the halls & gaze up at the towering brick.
Winter's harshness led me deeper into my studio with Socks & Shadows, where whimsy & elegance collided in one album. While Footwear Chronicles began in the studio, it soon lured me into the wild. Each stands as an anthology to be cherished.
Perhaps most surprising was the birth of not one, but two new creations from my cursed garden. Twisted & clinging, they sprouted in cool moonlight, unbidden. A Cursed Cabbage formed one leaf at a time, while the Possessed Pickle summoned the Pickle's First Bloom. It's a bittersweet joy to see curses bloom.
March approaches slowly as I leave Blackstone and revisit my garden. I await Spring surrounded by fog & receding gloom.
Will you join me on this new journey?
