May entered with a heavy finality, the thick stone doors of the Crypt of Retired Relics sealed shut, trapping the Possessed Pickle album & bundle. The howls of the Pickle still echo off the chiseled stone walls of its tomb. If you failed to claim it before the sealing, you can still summon your own pickle. Only the summoning pattern lingers in the cursed garden.
Fleeing the crypt completely, I ventured onto the backroads. Twisted things carved into the earth lay before me as I drove mindlessly. Eventually, hunger stopped me as I sprawled across my seat barefoot & pondered Where the Road Goes.
Pulling off onto a small gravel road, I was met with towering conifers & a murky green lake. The waters were deep, dark, & chilled to the touch. The longer I stayed, the quieter the surroundings grew. No animals skittered in the undergrowth, while insects' wings failed to thrum. Still, the sun burned hotly through the late spring day as the shadows grew long. Off in the distance, I caught fleeting glimpses of an apparition. Glowing flesh flittered along the shoreline. No matter how I chased it, I could not catch the Lake's Apparition.
Eventually, my flight was exhausted & I returned to civilization & obligation. The sharp trill of drills & metal on enamel welcomed me in a Plaque Exorcism.
Now I eye June as it looms full of promises & I eagerly await its new adventures.
