Culture Vultures is an artist-run arts and culture organization based in Sefrou, a market town in the Middle Atlas. Founded in 2009 by artist and cultural facilitator Jess Stephens, it offers residencies, artisan visits, crafts-centric journeys and research into Moroccan making traditions.

Over the years we have worked with many artisans, cooperatives and craft communities across Morocco, the custodians of its crafts. Many have become long-term collaborators and friends.

The guides here draw on those conversations, studio visits, field notes and the work of Moroccan and international scholars. Every purchase supports our work and the communities we work alongside.
