The Sisterhood Weekend 🌸
I left home deep in my shell — the kind of shell that feels like armor and prison all at once. Packing for the trip was a marathon of second‑guessing: “Is this okay? Will they hate this? What will they think?” I swapped outfits a dozen times, trying to predict acceptance through fabric choices.
When I finally zipped my bag and sat waiting for my ride, the mental chatter didn’t stop. “What if I say something stupid? What if I don’t fit in?” The list of what‑ifs could’ve filled a novel.
Then reality hit the moment I climbed into the car. These women weren’t analyzing me — they were laughing, planning beach stops, and ready for joy. They didn’t care what I wore or said; they cared that I showed up.
Throughout the weekend, I never once heard a reason I shouldn’t be there. Instead, I heard gratitude — for me. They were thankful that I came, that I chose to be present.
That’s when the lesson settled in: showing up matters. God shows up for us every single day, and His people deserve that same grace and love. We all need the reminder that unity, connection, and sisterhood are sacred gifts.
It turned out to be the best girls’ weekend ever — laughter, beach walks, late‑night talks, and hearts wide open. Future gatherings might look different — maybe camping by the lake or gaming nights at home — but the spirit will be the same: togetherness and God at the center.
I’m proud of my sisters, and proud of myself for stepping out of that shell. Thank You, Lord, for the lessons You weave into our moments of courage and love. 💛
