Premium Astrophotography Datasets from Atacama

Unique southern-sky data personally captured by Daniele Gasparri in Atacama, Chile, with his own equipment.

Why these datasets are different

Personally captured in Atacama

All datasets in this section come from my own observing and imaging sessions in northern Chile, using my own equipment under the dark skies of Atacama

Several hours of integration

Each dataset contains data acquired with a mean integration time between 14 and 38 hours, always on moonless nights

More than generic practice files

These datasets are meant to offer real astrophotography value: authentic southern-sky material with a clear identity, a real origin, and real processing potential.

Carefully curated datasets

Each dataset has been personally prepared using high-quality calibration frames (darks, flats, and bias) and carefully stacked in PixInsight

Why Atacama matters

Exceptional observing conditions

Atacama is known for its dark skies, low humidity, and remarkable transparency, making it one of the most extraordinary locations in the world for astronomical imaging.

A rare opportunity for astrophotographers

These datasets are the result of imaging work carried out under conditions that very few astrophotographers can access regularly.

Start with a free sample

If you would like to evaluate the quality of my data before purchasing a full dataset, you can begin with the free sample available in the store.

It is the best way to test the files, explore the processing potential, and experience the quality of my Atacama-based imaging material.

What I offer

Raw stacked image

Provided in FIT and XISF format at full resolution, stacked in PixInsight using high-quality calibration frames

Advanced equipment

All images were captured with a 200 mm f/5 Newtonian telescope with a coma corrector and a cooled ASI 2600MC astronomical camera, at a sampling of 0.81 arcsec/pixel

Outstanding conditions

All the datasets have been taken with superb seeing conditions (on average 1 arcsecond), low humidity (below 50%) from a Bortle 1 sky and guiding errors on the order of 0.40 arcseconds (rms)

Not just raw files

I also provide the final processed version and a summary of the workflow performed as a reference
