Before accepting a baking preorder, count whole batches and the costs you expect to pay.
Fictional example: 36 ordered items with 24 sellable items per batch require two batches: 48 made and 12 surplus. Surplus is not automatically extra sales. Ingredients at $12.50 per batch, labor at $18 per batch, and packaging at $0.50 for each ordered item produce direct cost of $79. At an example price of $3 per ordered item, receipts would be $108 and contribution $29 before overhead and taxes. These are demonstration figures, not recommended prices or promised profit.
Use your actual sellable yield, round up to whole batches, decide what happens to surplus, and include labor and packaging. Allow separately for overhead, delivery, fees and taxes. Confirm food safety, allergen and local business requirements separately.

This desktop-oriented offline browser worksheet does not process payments or provide cloud storage. Download a backup before closing your work. A calculator cannot establish demand or guarantee profitability.
