A tournament weekend is easier to manage when game information and travel details live together. Start with these five checks before leaving home.
1. Record the exact venue address for every field. Keep the latest schedule and organizer contact handy, and check for changes before driving.
2. Separate confirmed costs from estimates. List lodging, fuel, meals and entry fees so your weekend budget reflects the whole trip.
3. Pack the essentials in an easy-to-reach bag: uniform, equipment, water, snacks, weather layers and chargers. Use the team’s actual requirements for your final list.
4. Leave room between games and travel. Write down check-in times and the drive between venues instead of assuming every game uses the same field.
5. Save a copy before you leave. A saved brief is useful when reception is unreliable; recheck official updates for weather and schedule changes.
Want one place to organize it? Our Tournament Weekend Planner is a $19 digital download for baseball and softball families. Enter your own itinerary, packing list and estimated expenses in the browser tool, then export your brief and expense CSV. Save and reopen your project as JSON. A computer is recommended for setup. It does not automatically track official game schedules.
