For as long as I can remember, believing in myself was a struggle. No matter how much I tried to convince myself I was enough, doubt always crept in. I compared myself to others, second guessed my abilities, and allowed fear to hold me back. I searched for validation in people, achievements, and even in moments of temporary success but nothing ever filled the void.
It wasn’t until I met the Lord Jesus Christ that I truly began to understand what faith is not just faith in Him, but faith in who He created me to be. I realized that my struggles with self-belief weren’t just about confidence; they were about identity. The world had shaped my thoughts, telling me I wasn’t good enough, smart enough, or capable enough. But God’s Word told me something different.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
This verse became my anchor. It reminded me that my strength, my purpose, and my ability to overcome didn’t come from myself it came from God. The moment I started leaning on Him, my mindset began to shift. I no longer had to prove myself to the world because I was already chosen, loved, and destined for greatness in His eyes.
I won’t lie this journey is still a work in progress. Some days, doubt tries to creep back in. But now, instead of letting it define me, I take it to God. I pray. I remind myself of His promises. I choose to believe, even when I don’t feel like it.
If you’ve ever struggled with believing in yourself, I want to tell you this: God doesn’t make mistakes. He created you with purpose, with gifts, and with a calling that no one else can fulfill. Stop looking for the world’s approval and start seeking God’s confirmation. The more you trust Him, the more you will learn to trust yourself.
Your faith is your foundation, and with Christ, you are unstoppable.
