Before you fall in love with anyone else, make sure you’re in love with God first.
It’s easy to get caught up in emotions the butterflies, the late-night talks, the dreams of forever. But real love, the kind that sustains, protects, and uplifts, doesn’t begin with another person. It begins with God.
When you’re in love with God first, you don’t chase love, love flows to you. You’re not desperate for attention because you already feel seen. You’re not begging to be chosen because you know you’re already accepted.
Being in love with God teaches you how to love yourself. It shows you what real love looks like patient, kind, sacrificial, faithful. And once you’ve tasted that kind of love, you stop settling for anything less.
When God becomes your first love, your heart becomes protected. You love from overflow, not from emptiness. And you’ll stop looking for someone to complete you, because you’re already whole in Him.
So yes, I’m in love.
