Thereās something dangerous about fearing people more than fearing God. That kind of fear will cost youājust ask Saul.
Saul had one job. One clear instruction from the Lord. But instead of obeying God completely, he allowed the opinions and pressure of people to influence his decisions. And because of that, he lost everything.
1 Samuel 15:24 (NIV) says,
āThen Saul said to Samuel, āI have sinned. I violated the Lordās command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them.āā
Let that sink in. Saul admitted it:Ā āI was afraid of the men.ā
He feared manā¦
He listened to their voicesā¦
And it cost him the kingdom.
ā ļøĀ The Fear of Man Is a Trap
Proverbs 29:25 tells us:
āFear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.ā
Itās a snare because it keeps you bound to peopleās approval instead of Godās purpose. When you live for peopleās applause, you become a slave to their opinions. And the moment they disapprove, you crumble.
š„Ā But God Is Raising Up Lions
We are in a time where God is calling His people to be bold as lionsāfearless, obedient, and full of holy conviction.
Lions donāt apologize for their roar. Neither should you.
You werenāt created to blend in. You werenāt made to shrink back. You were chosen to stand up, speak out, and obey Godāeven if it means standing alone.
šš¾Ā Obedience Over Opinion
Let Saulās story be a warning. Partial obedience is still disobedience. And disobedience rooted in fear is rebellion.
God doesnāt need people who play it safe. He needs people who will stand on His Word, even if it costs them the crowd.
š£ļøĀ Stand On Business:
Never fear man. Fear God. Obey Him. Be bold. Be different. Be a lion.
Declaration:
āI will not fear man. I will obey God no matter the cost. I am bold as a lion. I walk in authority, power, and truth.āĀ š¦š„
