People Who Feel Good About Themselves Don’t Tear Others Down

Have you ever noticed that truly joyful people never curse others or tear them down? Think about it – when was the last time you saw someone genuinely full of joy wasting their energy on gossip, negativity, or putting others down? Never.

Why Is That?

Because people who are truly content and confident in who they are don’t need to belittle others. They’re too busy doing the work of the Lord, focused on their purpose, and about their Father’s business. Their joy and confidence come from within, not from diminishing someone else.

The Lord Spoke to Me

The Lord spoke to me one time about a year ago and said: “People who genuinely feel good about themselves never curse or put others down. Their joy comes from Me, and they have no need to belittle anyone.”

This revelation hit me deeply. It’s not just about avoiding negativity; it’s about being so full of joy and purpose that negativity has no room in your life. When you’re truly joyful, you uplift others instead of tearing them down.

The Power of a Renewed Mind

To live like this, you need a renewed mind. It’s about commanding your mind, forcing your thoughts to line up with the Word of God. It’s about eating the Word, letting it nourish your spirit, and becoming full on the Word so that negativity has no place in your heart.

Romans 12:2 says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This isn’t a one-time thing. It’s a daily discipline of feeding on God’s Word, which washes and cleanses your mind.

God Never Told Us to Just Read the Word

This is a powerful revelation: God never told us to merely read the Word. He said to study it, meditate on it, and live by it. In 2 Timothy 2:15, it says, “Study to show thyself approved unto God.”

Studying the Word is about digging deep, understanding, and applying it to your life. It’s about letting the Word become alive in you.

The Word is Your Source

The Word of God isn’t just for knowledge; it’s your sustenance and strength.

• It keeps you grounded when life shakes you.

• It sustains you when you’re weary and weak.

• It washes you of every impurity and negative thought.

• It cleanses you from bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness.

The Word shapes your identity, fuels your joy, and keeps you focused on God’s purpose. When you’re full of the Word, you won’t have time or desire to tear others down. You’ll be too busy growing, loving, and fulfilling your God-given calling.

Final Thoughts

If you find yourself surrounded by negativity, or if you struggle with critical thoughts, ask yourself: Am I truly full of the Word? Renew your mind daily. Meditate on God’s promises and purpose. Allow the Word to transform you so that you become the person God created you to be – joyful, confident, and about the Father’s business.

Prayer for a Renewed Mind

Heavenly Father,

Renew my mind and cleanse my heart. Help me to feed on Your Word daily, to meditate on Your truths, and to walk in love and purpose.

I reject every negative thought and spirit of comparison. I choose to see myself and others through Your eyes. Let my words and actions reflect Your grace and love.

Fill me with Your joy and peace, and keep me focused on my purpose. I declare that I am transformed by the renewing of my mind.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stay joyful. Stay focused. Stay in the Word.
