Rest

Many people will try to control your life.

They often disguise their actions under the appearance of humility, but true pride looks very different.

When people attempt to place burdens and expectations on you, it’s often because there not truly rested in the Lord. They are striving not trusting.

They rely on their own strength, opinions, and anxieties instead of depending on God.

But someone who is truly rested in the Lord lives differently.

They depend on what God says, not on what people say. They allow God to be in full control, and they don’t measure their worth or direction by others’ expectations or criticisms.

Resting in the Lord means trusting His voice above every other voice. It’s choosing His peace over human pressure.

It’s living free,  not burdened by what others think you should do, but led fully by what God has called you to do.

Rest is not laziness. Rest is confidence in God’s complete authority. Rest is surrender.

Who are you listening to today , the voices around you, or the voice of the Lord?

Psalm 62:1 (NIV)

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
