We will never be enough for people

“Even Jesus Wasn’t Enough for Them”

We will never be enough for people.

That truth hit me hard this week. Even when we serve with pure hearts, walk in love, give our best, and pour ourselves out in ministry—someone will still find something to criticize. They’ll question your motives. Pick apart your words. Misunderstand your actions. Find errors where there was only effort.

And it hurts.

I found myself wrestling with this, wondering what more I could have done or said differently. But then I thought about Jesus. He was perfect. Flawless in every word, every action, every miracle. Love incarnate. Truth embodied. And still… He was rejected, mocked, accused, and crucified.

If the Son of God wasn’t enough for people—how could I ever be?

This isn’t a call to stop striving for excellence or to shrug off accountability. It’s a reminder that people will never be the true measure of our worth or obedience. We serve an audience of One. And even when others don’t see or understand what we carry, He does.

So keep walking in love.

Keep showing up.

Keep pouring out.

You were never called to be enough for people. You were called to be faithful to God.
