This morning, a song began to stir in my spirit: “I’m gonna see a victory, for the battle belongs to the Lord.” Those words are more than lyrics, they are truth for every child of God.
When you belong to Him, victory is not optional it’s guaranteed.
No matter what you’re going through, no matter how broken or weary you feel, the battle is not yours. It’s His. That means it is impossible to lose when your life is hidden in Christ.
Encouraging Yourself in the Lord
In the Bible, when David faced some of the darkest seasons of his life, the Word says he encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6).
David didn’t wait for applause, validation, or someone else to lift him up. He tapped into the presence of God, reminded himself of who God was, and from there, he found strength.
Sometimes that’s exactly what we must do speak life to ourselves when everything around us looks dead. Remind your soul: I am victorious because I belong to the Lord.
Brokenness Isn’t the End
I know it’s rough. I know heartbreak and loss can feel like the final word. But there is still hope. Even when it feels like no one is around, God is right there. Your breaking is not your ending it is the place where His power shows up strongest.
Victory Is Your Portion
So today, lift up your head. Remind yourself who you are and whose you are. You have the weapons to win this battle because you belong to the Lord. The victory has already been secured.
The next time you feel overwhelmed, do as David did. Encourage yourself. Speak life. Declare the truth. Because when you do, you’ll find what David found: even in the breaking, you still have the victory.
