Proven Strategies for Permanent Weight Loss.

Before we even get started, there are a few important things that need to be said. Losing weight is a mind game. If you change your mind, you will change your body. It is inevitable. While a healthy lifestyle has become a priority for many, those looking to lose weight often struggle to make lasting lifestyle changes. Our society is more obsessed with weight loss than ever before. Every day, we are bombarded with images and messages telling us that we need to lose weight to be happy and successful. However, despite our best efforts, many of us struggle to make lasting changes to our lifestyles. There are several reasons why this may be the case. Firstly, making significant changes to your diet and exercise routine can be difficult and time-consuming. It requires a lot of effort and discipline to stick to a new regime, especially if you are not seeing results at once.

Secondly, our bodies are designed to keep their current weight. When we try to lose weight, our bodies will fight back by slowing down our metabolism or increasing our appetite (or both). This makes it even harder for us to shed those unwanted pounds. If you are struggling to lose weight and improve your lifestyle, don’t despair there are steps you can take which will increase your chances of success. Firstly, it is important that you have realistic expectations; if you think you can lose 10 kg in two weeks, then you’re likely setting yourself up for disappointment (and potential health problems). Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to losing weight focus on making minor changes which you can sustain long-term, rather than drastic changes which you won't be able to tot stick to over time.

Way too many women have negative images of themselves. They feel that they are fat and ugly while all the other women are better. These are just some of the ways women beat themselves up. It is common to experience minor setbacks while dieting. Do not let one mistake cause you to entirely give up if you ate something not listed in your meal plan, acknowledge your error, and don't let it ruin the rest of your day. Instead, stay resolute and keep working towards making sound dietary choices. One slip-up will not have a significant effect if balanced out with healthy habits over the course of several days, but truly throwing out your diet can result in regaining weight lost. Good feeling and physical form are essential.

Desperately trying to unravel a two number smaller dress is a grey day for many. All of us have an ideal weight that we feel good and happy to achieve and keep, but is it really the right one? Good feeling and physical form are essential. It is unlikely that the woman with Adele's body-type would suddenly become Angelina Jolie. Her natural body shape and bone structure would not support it, at least not without descending into extremes or with ease. Angelina's fragile frame, on the other hand, would not allow her to become extremely voluminous and would not fit her body anyway. It seems that, despite the popularity of healthy lifestyles and movements, many are trying to circumvent themselves and turn into someone else.

One generation ago, people would not dream of picking up whatever packet of junk food they could get at first to feed their faces. Today, we do that so very casually. “I am hungry” usually means “I want a hamburger or a frankfurter, probably with chips on the side and one cola.” “Let’s go out and party” means “Let’s go out and booze till we can’t stands up on our own and intersperse the drinks with as much synthetic-laden wannabe Chinese food that we can get.” And “I am on a diet” means “I am on a chemically driven pill which will kill my hunger and deprive my body of vitamins.” It is really no wonder that we are facing so many health problems today. The fact is that the weight loss industry is responsible in a significant way toward this downfall of the developed human race. They need to keep selling their Atkinses and Jenny Craigs and Zones and Medifasts and for that reason the media never tells you how we can take things in your own hands. They show us glitzy before-after pictures of a guy with a foot-long pannus and then the same guy with six pack abdominal muscles and tell us that the diet made that possible.

Why we believe this hype?

Diet pills and weight-loss companies will try to sell you on gimmicks like “Lose 12 Pounds in 7 Days!” without serious lifestyle changes. But really, it comes down to eating the right foods in proper proportions and getting enough exercise. In other words, there is no shortcut around embracing a healthy lifestyle to achieve your goals. Weight loss does not need to be complicated or require excessive measures. At the end of the day, it is a straightforward process; if you burn more calories than you consume and supplement your efforts with healthy eating and exercise habits, you'll begin to see results. Naturally, no one wants to tell us this plain truth because there would not be any sales generated from weight loss fads and crash diets promising radical results, like weight lost in a week. Marketers tend to exaggerate these claims without considering that sustainable weight loss is based on lifestyle changes. Women believe this hype because the truth is a bitter pill to swallow. Cleaning up your diet and exercising is difficult. Taking weight loss pills is easy. And everybody wants easy. Easy often leads to disappointment, regret, a loss of time and money. This is a heavy price to pay because most often, you will never see any results. That is why you see women going from pill to pill. That is why new weight loss supplements keep hitting the market. When people realize that it is not working, they try the next product and the next and the next… This vicious cycle just doesn’t end. You need to understand that in most cases, you gained the weight gradually. Nobody wakes up 20 pounds heavier overnight. Your body got fatter over time.

Losing fat is a process that requires patience and dedication. Unlike other programs promising unrealistic results like dropping 20 pounds overnight, this program delivers sustainable weight loss of about 3 to 4 pounds per week at best. In four weeks,’ time, expect to shed around eight or even up to twelve pounds depending on your body type. The more excess weight you carry initially will decide how much faster it comes off; heavier individuals tend to lose weight quicker than those who are already leaner. As progress is made towards achieving a slimmer physique though, challenges arise which require greater effort for continued success.

Most people give up because they cannot see results fast enough.

Usually, they have just not given themselves enough time. You will need to plan your weight loss and then you’ll realize just how long it will take you to reach your goal. We will be looking at this in the next chapter. What is important is that it keeps things realistic for you. If you are looking at an 8 week stretch to reach your dream body, you’ll not lose motivation and give up after 2 weeks because you have six more weeks to go. You also will not believe the hype that the infomercials and supplements throw at you. Your body works at its own pace. It is not affected by hype or fantasies.

Some general tips that can help give you a better idea of how long it might take.

Your current weight: If you are overweight or obese, then you can expect to lose weight at a faster rate than someone who is already at their ideal bodyweight. This is because there is more room for improvement and your body is used to carrying around extra baggage (literally!). Losing those first few kilos will be easier said than done but once you start seeing results, it will motivate you to keep going!

Body composition: Another factor that plays a role in how quickly you lose weight is your muscle-to-fat ratio. People with higher levels of muscle mass tend to burn more calories even when they are resting. On the other hand, those with a higher percentage of body fat will find it harder shed pounds as they have less muscle mass which helps burn calories efficiently. Unfortunately, this means that losing weight may take longer for some people than others - but do not get discouraged! Everyone's bodies are different and unique so just focus on being the best version of yourself.

Lifestyle habits: Your diet and exercise routine play vital roles in whether you will be successful in losing weight. Those who lead sedentary lifestyles or consume an unhealthy diet full of processed foods will obviously struggle more with shedding kilos than active individuals who eat clean meals regularly.

So, if You're serious about reaching your goal weight, make sure adopt healthy behaviors into your daily routine. This includes eating nutritious meals, exercising often, and getting enough rest! It is never too late to shed those extra pounds and achieve your ideal body weight. You have the power within you to make it happen, without a doubt!
