It’s not that you’re bad with money.
It’s not that you don’t work hard enough.
It’s that somewhere deep in your subconscious the version of you who believed survival meant staying small is still running the show.
I remember a time when I would make money… and then somehow, it would just disappear. Unexpected bills, emergencies, or random moments of guilt that led me to give it away too easily. No matter how much I earned, I found myself right back at zero hustling, anxious, and secretly wondering if maybe I just wasn’t meant to have money ease.
But that wasn’t the truth.
The truth was, I had built an identity around being the woman who struggles her way to success.
The Identity That Keeps You Broke
If you’ve ever felt like no matter what you do, abundance keeps slipping through your fingers, I want you to take a deep breath right now. Because this isn’t about your bank account it’s about your identity.
Your identity is the energetic template your subconscious uses to decide what’s safe for you to experience. If you grew up around financial instability, chaos, or mixed messages about wealth like rich people are greedy or money changes you your nervous system might have equated having money with losing safety or belonging.
So even when you consciously affirm, I am abundant, your subconscious whispers, No, you’re not, it's not safe for us.
As Dr. Joe Dispenza says, You can’t create a new future while living in the emotions of your past.
That’s what most people miss:
Money reprogramming isn’t about budgets and affirmations. It’s about identity recalibration.
When Your Nervous System Thinks Wealth Is a Threat
Let’s talk about your body for a second because your nervous system is the gatekeeper of your abundance.
Every time you try to expand, raise your prices, invest in yourself, or say no to clients that drain you, your body decides whether that expansion feels safe.
If expansion feels like danger, your body will shut it down.
That might look like procrastination, overgiving, self-sabotage, or needing to think about it when opportunity knocks.
It’s not that you’re lazy.
It’s that your nervous system has been programmed to equate peace with scarcity.
Think about that for a moment:
If you grew up watching your mother stress about bills, you may have unconsciously decided that love, responsibility, and stress are all tangled together.
So when life starts feeling peaceful, your subconscious goes, Wait, something’s wrong. Where’s the chaos?
And before you know it, you create it again without realizing it.
Reprogramming the Broke Identity
So how do you reprogram the part of you that keeps choosing lack?
You start by shifting your sense of self.
See the pattern with compassion.
You can’t reprogram what you’re judging. Start by acknowledging that this broken identity was never about failure it was about safety. It was your subconscious trying to protect you.
I see the part of me that equated survival with struggle and I thank her. But she doesn’t have to lead anymore.
Regulate your nervous system daily.
Breathwork. Gentle movement. Rest. Nervous system work isn’t woo-woo. It’s how you teach your body that abundance, peace, and stability are safe to hold.
When your body feels safe, your mind becomes available for new levels of receiving.
Rehearse the new identity.
Visualization isn’t just manifestation fluff, it's rewiring your brain. Imagine being the woman who always feels supported. Who doesn’t rush. Who trusts that money loves being around her.
Ask yourself: What does she think? Speak? Move? Spend?
Then start embodying her not someday, but now.
Release the guilt of having more.
Many women subconsciously believe that being abundant means being less compassionate. But you can’t pour from an empty cup.
The most generous thing you can do for the world is to let yourself overflow.
You deserve to be supported, not just surviving.
The Spiritual Side of Wealth Identity
At a spiritual level, money is an amplifier. It mirrors your relationship with yourself.
If you don’t feel worthy of rest, ease, or joy, you’ll attract situations that reinforce that belief.
But when you start to believe deeply, in your bones that you are safe to receive, money begins to show up in unexpected ways.
Synchronicities. Clients who find you out of nowhere. Opportunities that feel too aligned to be random.
That’s what energetic alignment really is: your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system all saying yes to the same reality.
Rewriting the Script
You are not the woman who struggles her way to success.
You are not the girl who needs to prove her worth through overworking.
You are the woman who remembers that abundance is her natural state.
The reprogramming begins when you stop trying to earn your way into wealth and start becoming the version of yourself who naturally attracts it.
Here’s a small reflection exercise for you:
- Think of the most financially free version of yourself.
- Write down three core beliefs she lives by.
- Notice which beliefs contradict your current behavior: that's your reprogramming roadmap.
Because it’s not enough to want abundance.
You have to become the woman who feels safe having it.
Closing Reflection
If you’re reading this, maybe you’re tired of the cycle, the feast and famine, the guilt of charging your worth, the fear of too much.
Take this as your reminder:
You were never meant to live in lack.
You were meant to live in overflow.
When you change who you believe you are, what you attract must change too.
So today, choose a new story.
Choose to be the person who receives with grace, gives with joy, and trusts that money loves to stay where it’s appreciated.
Because it’s not just about reprogramming your mind it’s about reprogramming your energy, your safety, and your sense of identity.
And when do all three align?
That’s when everything shifts.
