Every big adventure starts with a little imagination… and ours started with a few pieces of paper and some very special drawings. 💕
If you've recently discovered Doodles by Olive, you might be wondering where our colourful little characters came from.
Well, we'd love to show you!
Meet Olive, a six-year-old girl with a HUGE imagination and a love for drawing, creating characters and making up stories.
What started as a few little drawings at home has now become something we never imagined — a collection of three beautifully illustrated children's storybooks!
And the best part? It all began with Olive's very own creations. 🥹
🥕 Meet Carrot Cat!
📸
This is the original Carrot Cat!
With his square-shaped head, little whiskers, big eyes and carrot on his tummy, Carrot Cat was one of the wonderful characters Olive dreamed up.
We loved how much personality she'd managed to give him using simple pieces of paper and a little creativity.
Who would have thought this little drawing would go on to star in his very own adventure?
Carrot Cat is now one of the main characters in The Great Carrot Adventure, our very first book!
👋 Say Hello to Happy Hand!
📸
Next up is Happy Hand!
A smiling little hand with a cheeky face and a personality to match.
We absolutely loved this creation, especially the fact that Olive even wrote her name across the drawing.
Happy Hand has become one of our favourite characters, spreading happiness, kindness and friendship throughout Doodle World.
Sometimes the simplest ideas really are the most magical!
❤️ And Finally… Red Doodle!
📸
And then there's Red Doodle!
Bright red, with heart-shaped eyes and a wonderfully funny expression, Red Doodle is impossible to miss!
This little character was another of Olive's original creations, and we couldn't imagine Doodle World without him.
Together with Carrot Cat and Happy Hand, he helps bring our magical adventures to life.
✨ From Drawings to Storybooks
Looking back at these original pictures makes us smile.
They're not professional illustrations. They're not perfect drawings.
They're something much more special — they're the imagination of a six-year-old child. ❤️
With the help of AI illustration tools, we've been able to transform Olive's original characters into colourful storybook illustrations while keeping the spirit of her creations at the heart of everything.
What started with three little doodles has now grown into a magical world of adventures, friendship, kindness and imagination.
And we couldn't be prouder!
📚 Our First Three Books Are Here!
We're so excited to have officially launched our first three children's eBooks:

💕 This Is Only the Beginning…
We don't know where Doodles by Olive will take us, but that's part of the excitement!
One thing we do know is that we'll always treasure these original drawings.
They're a lovely reminder that something wonderful can start with nothing more than paper, a few pens and a child's imagination.
Thank you so much for being part of our little journey and supporting Olive's creativity.
We can't wait to see what she dreams up next! 🌈✨
