Many students are struggling to get started with their study, stay focused and show interest in their revision. One of the reasons is the phone distractions and coping with their emotions (tips for coping emotions) during exam preparation. Students can actually go to their phone control setting to turn on the focus mode and set time limits to their apps that cause distractions. (refer to the video )
Another way is to make learning fun, students can make creative written notes, or scribble questions next to the paragraphs that they have studied. If one could not stay focus reading, he or she can actually copied them out in a concised manner or even hum a melody while focusing or replace the lyrics with the words they are reading. Before you know it, you may be studying for quite sometime. Reward yourself with little breaks in between studies and stick to the study plan as much as possible.
Spam the exam papers before you cover the textbooks, you can always come back to textbooks when you are stuck in any questions. By answering questions, it helps you to learn faster and make learning more active than passive reading. It does not matter if you do not know how to answer the questions in the mock papers. If you are stuck you can just study your answer sheets and try to understand them later while referring to your textbook and other resources. After awhile you will find yourself more familiar with your subjects and soon will be able to do the questions yourself. Do not start reading your textbook first, you can always come back to them as you spam your papers.
