During teaching woodwind and Piano lessons in schools for 25 years, I had to balance requests made by my pupils to play modern music, with the more classical demands required by the exam boards in terms of genre and the discipline required to perfect playing a particular instrument.

Since then, the exam boards have added Jazz, Rock and pop elements.

I believe that assisting musicianship to blossom can be taken a step further, allowing the inherent creativity that young musicians have in their minds to be fully realised.

Hence creating this project, which can be studied as a sideline by acoustic instrumentalists, allowing them to record their instrumental playing and make their own tracks, or for those with no musical knowledge to 'become musical'.

The modular courses here are created with all of this in mind, and whether studied solo or with friends, the course content is designed to be accessible, engaging, varied in content, rewarding and well - you will see for yourself!
