Some stories start with a character. Some start with a world. Mine usually start with a feeling.
A shadowed castle. A broken heart. A dangerous love. A world falling apart. A woman trying to survive when everything around her wants her to give up.
Writing became more than something to do. It became a place to put grief, hope, anger, love, and all the dreams I didn’t know what to do with. Ember Shadowfire came from that place, from the need to create light out of darkness and turn pain into something powerful.
My books are for readers who love stories with emotion, danger, romance, magic, survival, and characters who are stronger than they realize. Some of my worlds are dark. Some are romantic. Some are filled with monsters, crowns, curses, or secrets. But at the heart of them all is the same thing: people fighting to survive, to love, and to become more than what hurt them.
This space, Behind the Books, is where I’ll share what inspired my stories, what I’m working on next, and the pieces of my writing journey that don’t always fit on a book page.
