FangForge — Terms of Service

By purchasing, downloading, or using any product from FangForge, you agree to the terms outlined below. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not purchase or use our products.

These terms apply to all avatars, 3D models, assets, clothing, accessories, world assets, Unity packages, textures, materials, shaders, prefabs, and other digital products sold or distributed by FangForge.

1. Digital Product License

All FangForge products are licensed, not sold.

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the purchased product according to these Terms of Service. Purchasing a product does not transfer copyright, ownership, or intellectual property rights to you.

All original artwork, models, textures, files, concepts, and other content remain the property of FangForge and/or their respective creators.

2. Permitted Use

Unless a product listing specifically states otherwise, you may:

• Use purchased products on your own VRChat account.
• Upload purchased avatars to your own VRChat account.
• Modify purchased products for your personal use.
• Combine purchased assets with other assets in your own projects.
• Use purchased assets in your own VRChat worlds.
• Use purchased assets in screenshots, videos, streams, and other content.
• Use purchased products in monetized content such as Twitch streams, YouTube videos, VTubing, or similar content.
• Make personal backups of purchased files.

Commercial use is permitted unless the individual product listing states otherwise.

3. Avatars

When purchasing a complete avatar from FangForge, you are purchasing a license to use that avatar, not ownership of the underlying character, model, or artwork.

You may:

• Upload the avatar to your own VRChat account.
• Customize the avatar for personal use.
• Use the avatar for streaming, VTubing, videos, screenshots, and similar content.
• Use the avatar in monetized content.
• Make reasonable personal modifications.

You may not:

• Sell or transfer the avatar files to another person.
• Give the avatar files to friends, partners, or other users.
• Upload the avatar files to public download sites.
• Use the avatar as a base for creating and selling another avatar unless explicitly permitted.
• Claim the original character, model, artwork, or design as your own.
• Make the avatar publicly downloadable unless explicitly permitted by the product license.

If you wish to commission another creator to modify your purchased avatar, you are responsible for ensuring that the commissioned creator agrees to these Terms of Service and does not receive permission to redistribute the original files.

4. Assets and World Products

Purchased FangForge assets may be used in your own VRChat worlds and projects unless otherwise stated on the product page.

You may modify, combine, and incorporate purchased assets into your own projects.

However, you may not distribute the original asset files separately from your project.

For example, you may use a purchased FangForge chair in your VRChat world, but you may not upload the chair's original Unity package, model, textures, or files for other people to download.

Your finished project must not function primarily as a method of redistributing the purchased asset.

5. Redistribution

Redistribution of purchased files is strictly prohibited.

You may not:

• Re-upload purchased files to another website.
• Upload files to public or private file-sharing services for others to access.
• Share files through Discord, Google Drive, Dropbox, Mega, or similar services.
• Give purchased files to friends or other VRChat users.
• Include the original files in another asset pack.
• Upload the files to public repositories.
• Distribute the files through VRChat or other platforms.
• Share download links to purchased products.
• Sell or sublicense the original files.

A purchase is for the purchaser only unless the product listing explicitly states otherwise.

6. Reselling

You may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise redistribute any purchased product or substantially unmodified portion of a purchased product.

You may not use purchased FangForge products to create competing asset packs or products unless the individual product license explicitly allows this.

If you create a project containing purchased assets, you may sell or monetize the finished project only when the purchased asset's license permits commercial use and the original files cannot reasonably be extracted or redistributed as standalone products.

7. Modifications

Personal modifications are generally allowed.

You may edit, recolor, resize, rig, optimize, or otherwise modify purchased products for your own use.

However, modifying a product does not give you ownership of the original work.

You may not modify a product and then redistribute or resell the modified files in a way that allows others to obtain the original FangForge product.

8. Commercial Use

Commercial use is permitted unless specifically restricted by the product listing.

Examples of permitted commercial use may include:

• Twitch streams
• YouTube videos
• VTubing
• Monetized social media content
• Screenshots and promotional artwork
• Patreon or membership content
• VRChat world monetization
• Other monetized content featuring the purchased product

Commercial use of the product itself, such as reselling the model, asset, texture, or files, is not permitted unless explicitly stated.

If a product has different commercial-use restrictions, those restrictions will be listed on the product page and take precedence over this section.

9. Credits

Credit is appreciated but [REQUIRED / NOT REQUIRED].

When credit is required, please credit FangForge and provide a link to the FangForge store or official social media when reasonably possible.

Credit does not grant anyone permission to redistribute, resell, or claim ownership of the product.

10. Third-Party Assets

Some FangForge products may contain or depend on assets created by other creators.

Where applicable, third-party licenses and requirements will be identified in the product description or included documentation.

You are responsible for complying with any applicable third-party licenses.

Purchasing a FangForge product does not override the terms of any third-party asset included with or required by that product.

11. Refunds

Due to the digital nature of these products, all sales are generally final once the product has been downloaded or accessed.

Refunds will not normally be provided for:

• Change of mind.
• Accidental purchases.
• Lack of knowledge about how to use the product.
• Failure to read the product description.
• Incompatibility caused by the customer's own setup.
• Choosing the wrong version.
• Not knowing how to use Unity, Blender, VRChat SDKs, or other required software.

If you believe a product is defective, missing files, or significantly different from its advertised description, please contact FangForge.

We will make a reasonable effort to correct genuine product issues.

12. Product Support

Reasonable support may be provided for purchased FangForge products.

Support generally covers issues directly related to the product itself.

Support does not necessarily include teaching you how to use Unity, Blender, VRChat SDKs, or other third-party software.

FangForge may provide troubleshooting assistance when possible, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every combination of software, SDK, Unity version, or third-party asset.

13. Updates

Product updates may be provided at FangForge's discretion.

Updates may include:

• Bug fixes.
• Compatibility fixes.
• Optimization.
• New features.
• Minor improvements.

FangForge does not guarantee that every product will receive future updates.

If a product becomes discontinued, existing purchasers retain the rights granted under the license they originally received unless otherwise required by law or the applicable license.

14. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All original FangForge products and associated intellectual property remain the property of FangForge and/or their respective copyright holders.

You may not:

• Claim FangForge products as your own creation.
• Remove copyright or creator information for the purpose of claiming ownership.
• Register the product or derivative work as your own original intellectual property where doing so would conflict with FangForge's rights.
• Use the product to intentionally infringe upon another creator's intellectual property.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership or copyright to the purchaser.

15. Unauthorized Sharing

If you purchase a FangForge product and intentionally share the files with another person, both the purchaser and recipient may lose access to the product and future support.

FangForge reserves the right to revoke a user's license if there is clear evidence of intentional redistribution, piracy, reselling, or other serious violations of these Terms.

Revocation of a license does not entitle the purchaser to a refund.

16. TOS Violations

If you violate these Terms of Service, FangForge may take appropriate action, including:

• Revoking your license to use the affected product.
• Refusing future support.
• Refusing future purchases.
• Requesting removal of unauthorized copies.
• Reporting copyright infringement where appropriate.
• Taking other lawful action when necessary.

If your license is revoked, you must stop using the affected product and delete copies of the product files in your possession.

17. Prohibited Uses

FangForge products may not be used for:

• Illegal activities.
• Fraudulent activity.
• Impersonating FangForge or claiming FangForge's work as your own.
• Redistribution or piracy.
• Creating unauthorized competing products.
• Circumventing purchase or licensing systems.
• Any use that violates applicable laws or the rules of the platform on which the product is being used.

18. Product-Specific Terms

Individual FangForge products may have additional terms or restrictions.

If a product listing contains terms that are more specific than these general Terms of Service, the product-specific terms will take precedence for that product.

Customers are responsible for reading the product description and any included license information before purchasing.

19. Changes to These Terms

FangForge reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service in the future.

Changes will apply to future purchases unless otherwise stated.

The terms that applied to your purchase at the time of purchase will generally govern your existing license, except where changes are required by law or necessary to address serious abuse or security issues.

20. Agreement

By purchasing, downloading, or using any product from FangForge, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not purchase, download, or use FangForge products.
