Hi everyone, its time for another new bi-weekly blog post!
I was trying to find out what I wanted to say in this blog post, as with every blog post. I don't normally pre-write out my blog post and instead just let the words come to me, and today I had some idea of what I wanted to write.
First off, me and my husband decided on getting a circuit maker 4! This opens a lot of new product opportunities that I can eventually make for my website! I would love to start making t-shirts, totes, and maybe pencil cases? I'm not sure yet, but I know I really wanna make some totes and t-shirts! Could you imagine a shirt with one of my motivational buddies on it? or one featuring the capys in wonderland? the possibilities are endless! But what about carrying one of those little buddies on a tote bag, or having knights of the round egg on a tote bag? I can't wait! (we ended up getting a heat press with it as well)
I've also did about 3 pages of my new coloring book, coming up with pages is quite hard. But I do want to make it. 34 pages is very daunting but will be great for me to step out of my comfort zone, and see what I can do. I'm also introducing two new characters to the bunch. I've noticed that my small dino group of 5 dinos were all boys, and I wanted to add maybe two girls to the mix but which dinos you ask? Well a raptor and a Parasaurolophus of course! While a mosasaur is one of my favorite dinos, I also really like raptor type dinosaurs and Parasaurolophus as well! I've also wanted to start figuring out names for my little dino group, while 7 dinos is quite alot of characters in one group, I don't mind it too much. But I think 7 is where I'll stop for the group, adding more would be way too many characters. It will probably be a while before they have proper names, but I'm quite happy that I decided on adding two more dinos to the mix! The girls will show up more often in coloring books and perhaps stickers now that they are part of the main group. Speaking of stickers, don't forget about the freebie sticker on all physical orders! You only have until August to get this sticker free in your physical orders, so make sure to snag it while you can! (there is no limit to how much you have to spend to get the freebie sticker, its in any order even if you just order one sticker!)
I also recently got another sketchbook as mine well... its running out of pages. I love this brand of notebook that I've been getting, but I think the A5 is much nicer its smaller and great for traveling and carrying around, unlike my other bulky sketchbook. I Can't wait to start using it, but i'm going to wait until I completely fill in my old sketchbook. Until then I decided to decorate it with some of my newer stickers!
I also printed out a few new stickers which I bet you all have noticed appeared on my website recently. Daisy bunny was one that is very close to me now, and might show up quite a bit as a character. She helped to remind me why I draw and make my stickers, and that is to spread happiness and bring smiles to everyone. I'm glad to have that reminder of why I want to start my sticker business and make my dream come too. Another reason is cause I do love creating art, even on days I'm at my lowest I look at the stickers and art I have created over the years, and where I am now artistically and I get so happy and proud of the work I have done. I'm also taking steps back to realize, I'm not a failure and that I'm just still growing as an art business. I'm going to continue to climb that mountain and try to work closer to my dream.
I'm also slowly trying to sell more of my stickers on etsy as well, I want to garner a following through etsy. But my ultimate goal is to run this website full time, or eventually make enough to justify the price of shopify. But for now some of my stickers will be put on etsy, not all most likely but that's yet to be decided.
Anyway that's all I have to say this time. Thank you all for checking back in on my shop, keeping the views up each day, and just in general reading my blog post. It means a lot, and shows that my dream can become a reality, it will just take time. Always remember you're not a failure, you're still growing <3
See you all in the next bi-weekly blog post!
bye for now!
