Sneak Peek! A look into my creative process

Hello there everyone! Today I've got a nice little surprise for you all, it's about my creative process and what I typically go through when creating any of art for my products.

Of course with any design it starts out as an idea, much like the seasonal freebie stickers, I know it was a bit of a shake-up, moving from ducks floating in hot chocolate to a whole dino theme… but for some reason, I just couldn’t resist the idea of cute little dinos doing seasonal activities!

Which brings me to my little surprise I'm working on. I've decided to do a full little digital coloring book featuring these dinos and one extra dino companion, based around seasonal themes.

So far I've gotten 3 winter pages done, featuring valentine's

day, new years, and a cute little stegosaurs with a penguin companion building a snowman.

While the fall theme was almost done but was missing one extra page, I wanted to challenge myself to have 3 pages of each season doing different activities, and that was quite a struggle.

I finally figured out what I wanted for page 3 of fall (after a lot of trial and error!), and also finally figured out what I wanted for page 2 and 3 of spring, and page 2 and 3 of summer (both summer and spring took a bit longer then expected to come up with a theme).

The image above this text is just a sneak peek, even though I mentioned all the winter pages I wanted to keep the other 2 a surprise and only talk about them.

You can also see some sketches I made, they are very rough sketches but they help me to figure out how I want something to look for my designs.

Alot of my drawings sometimes start out as very rough sketches like this and then become the finished product you see off to the side of the sketches.

Each one is adorable, and I really hope you all will like them.

I'm also still debating on adding a cover and back to go with this digital download, but make it colorable its something I've thought about a bit and thought it would make it very cute and personalized to each one of you.

I'm not sure when this coloring book will be done, or when I'll put it up for sale, but I hope everyone enjoys this tiny sneak peek into my creative process.

I want to try to go back to doing blog post, but I've decided to do bi-weekly instead, it gives me enough time to think about what I'll talk about and if I've gotten any new art done by then to sneak into the blog post to talk about.

I might start working on talking about some of my older art as well, as I plan to eventually update the stickers to fit more with my newer art style.

Hope you all had a good week and I'll be back again in 2 weeks with another blog post. Thank you all for reading and see you all soon!
