About Me
My name is Wainikiti Dakurua, a proud Fijian woman, daughter, and mother, born and raised in the beautiful islands of Fiji. My journey into self-care began not from luxury, but from necessity — as a mother learning to balance the endless responsibilities of family, work, and life while trying not to lose myself in the process.
For years, I put others first — like many mothers do — believing that sacrifice was the only way to show love. But I soon realized that caring for myself was not selfish; it was necessary. A peaceful, joyful, and healthy mother creates a peaceful, joyful, and healthy home.
Out of this personal experience, I created the Fijian Mother’s Self-Care Journal — a gentle space for Fijian women and mothers to pause, reflect, release, and renew. It is not just a printable journal — it is a piece of my heart, meant to guide other mothers like me towards small daily moments of peace, gratitude, prayer, and self-love.
I believe that when a mother is well within, she shines in every part of life — for her children, her family, her community, and most importantly, for herself.
