Hi! I’m Ellen Summerbell — a 52-year-old mum of two living in a little town in Australia, where life moves a bit slower… but my kitchen definitely doesn’t.
For as long as I can remember, food has been my favourite way to bring people together. I’ve always loved the magic of turning simple ingredients into something that makes everyone smile — the kind of dishes that make guests ask, “Wait… what IS in this?!” and go back for seconds (and thirds).
Between school runs, work, and the everyday chaos of family life, I’ve spent years collecting recipes on scraps of paper, in messy notebooks, and in my head. Some are inspired by parties, some by cravings, and some by those “I have nothing in the fridge” moments that somehow turn into something delicious.
I also love escaping outdoors — especially going for horseback rides, where I get my best ideas. There’s something about fresh air and open space that makes creativity show up.
And now… I’m finally ready.
