An easy fall grazing board filled with croissants, apples, grapes, autumn fruits, honey, and toasted nuts.
⏱ Time: 15 minutes
🍽 Servings: 6–8
⭐ Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
For the Board
- 4–6 mini butter croissants
- 1 cup green grapes
- 1 cup red or black grapes
- 2 small apples, thinly sliced
- 2 plums, quartered
- 2 persimmons, sliced
- ½ cup walnuts
- ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
- ⅓ cup honey
Optional Additions
- 4 oz sharp cheddar, sliced
- 4 oz soft goat cheese or Brie
- Fig preserves
- Fresh sage or rosemary
- Dried cranberries
- Thinly sliced pear
- A few sprigs of thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the fruit. Wash the grapes and slice the apples and persimmons. Quarter the plums, leaving some pieces larger for visual variety.
- Arrange the croissants. Place the croissants together toward the back or center of a large wooden board.
- Add the grapes. Nestle clusters of green and dark grapes around the croissants, allowing some to spill naturally across the board.
- Fill in with fruit. Arrange the apples, plums, and persimmons throughout the board. Overlap some slices and leave others loose for a relaxed, abundant look.
- Add the texture. Scatter walnuts and pumpkin seeds into the empty spaces.
- Finish with honey. Place a small jar or bowl of honey on the board for drizzling over the croissants and fruit.
- Garnish. Tuck a few sprigs of sage, rosemary, or thyme around the board.
- Serve. Add any optional cheeses, preserves, or dried fruit just before serving.
Quick Notes
- Embrace the abundance. A harvest board should look generously filled rather than perfectly arranged.
- Warm the croissants for a few minutes before assembling if you'd like them slightly crisp and buttery.
- For a more savory gathering board, add Brie, sharp cheddar, goat cheese, and fig preserves.
- For brunch, serve with cinnamon butter or whipped honey butter.
- Use whatever autumn fruit looks best at the market—pears, figs, pomegranate, and dried apricots are all beautiful additions.
- For Halloween, add a few dark grapes, blackberries, rosemary sprigs, and small bowls of blackberry or fig preserves for a subtly darker harvest look.
