Here's a sneak peek at my latest set of planner rings. I'm really pleased with how these came out, and I hope you'll enjoy them as well once they've been released.
So, here is the initial sketch that I started with in Procreate. As you can see, the outline is VERY rough. But that's okay! I just needed to get an idea of the shapes and placements I wanted. As you can see, I wound up going with the second sketch. (Maybe I'll use the first at a later date 😉)
The next step is where I start to smooth out the shapes and fill them in with a base color. Your base is your foundation, and having a solid foundation makes things so much easier as you start to move forward with your design.
Eventually, I reached a point where I was pretty happy with the simplified look of the rings. While I could have left them as they were, I decided to add more detail to the shapes and the ring itself for a slightly more realistic look. Maybe I'll release the simplified versions of the rings at a later date for those who prefer that style ~
I don't want to spoil too much more, so that's it for the sneak peek! I can't wait to share these new planner rings with you all later this week. I think they turned out super cute, and will make a great addition to your planner ring collection!
