Hi, I'm Jen Miller, the creator of From the Counselor's Office.

I'm a Florida-certified school counselor and a former 1st-grade teacher with over 20 years of experience in education. I've spent my career supporting students from K–12, but my heart is happiest in elementary school, where social-emotional learning truly begins to blossom.

I started From the Counselor's Office in 2016 to share the tools I created for my own work. Today, it's a go-to spot for busy counselors who need practical, research-aligned resources; from counseling planners and record books to small-group lessons and book-based SEL activities. All of my materials are grounded in ASCA Mindsets, CASEL competencies, and real-life counseling experience.
