War Through The Pines was finished in November 2016. As I say in the Acknowledgements, it was partially inspired by George Friedman’s book The Next 100 Years. He predicts that a war in space will break out sometime in the middle of this century. It is also a story featuring a father and son, the first of many (the very next story, Vigilance, also has a father son relationship).
The Georgia (USA) setting comes from my memory of my grandfather’s farm when I was a young boy.
