Bringing years of creative work into focus
As 2025 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on a year that marked a major turning point in my music career. While much of the music itself was composed over several years, 2025 was the year those works were fully realized, finalized, organized, and prepared for professional use.
Twelve months ago, I had no public-facing catalog, no centralized delivery system, and no direct licensing presence. Today, I operate as an independent composer and sole proprietor with a fully production-ready music library built for licensing and sync alongside a growing ecosystem of educational, practical, and creative products.
In 2025 alone, I finalized and released 88 original tracks (and counting) 🎸 transforming years of creative output into a scalable, licensable catalog designed for long-term growth in film, television, games, trailers, and digital media.
This year wasn’t about shortcuts. It was about execution ✅
A Purpose-Built Music Catalog 🎼
Throughout 2025, I focused on bringing my existing compositions to professional completion, editing, arranging, recording, mixing, mastering, and preparing them for real-world licensing use. Every track in the catalog is 100% original, human-composed, and human-performed, drawing on more than 20 years of experience as a multi-instrumentalist, with guitar at the core 🎸.
The royalty-free catalog spans a wide range of sync-ready styles, including:
- Synth, Rock & Experimental Beats — cyberpunk, sci-fi, tech, high-energy action 🚀
- Dark & Thrilling — horror, suspense, psychological tension, villain reveals 👻
- Orchestral & Hybrid Cues — epic trailers, heroic builds, emotional storytelling 🎬
- Americana & Period Piece — rootsy folk and heartfelt historical vibes 🤠
- Pop & Funk — upbeat, catchy, perfect for vlogs and commercials 🎉
- Westerns & Flamencos Vol. 1 — dusty trails and Spanish-guitar fire 🌵
- Westerns & Flamencos Vol. 2 — deeper frontier emotion and cinematic landscapes 🏜️
- Ambient & Underscores Vol. 1 — gentle, meditative, documentary-ready textures 🌿
- Ambient & Underscores Vol. 2 — expansive, ethereal, space and nature soundscapes ✨
- Contemporary Blues & Jazz — soulful, noir, classy modern grooves 🎷🎸
Tracks are organized into themed volumes to streamline discovery for editors and supervisors. All music is produced in my home studio and delivered in high-resolution formats with instant clearance, clean metadata, and no third-party claims ✅.
Primary direct licensing is available through my own platform, offering immediate access, transparent pricing, and creator-direct communication.
👉 Royalty-Free Music Store:
https://payhip.com/GregoryWebb/royaltyfreemusic
This site serves as the main destination for clients seeking:
- Royalty-free licenses with instant clearance
- High-resolution audio and well-organized deliverables
- Direct licensing without intermediaries
For additional reach and discovery, my music is also available via third-party marketplaces:
- Pond5
- AudioJungle
- Songtradr
These platforms complement but do not replace my direct licensing channel. For music supervisors, editors, and collaborators who prefer curated review and pitching, the catalog is also presented via Disco as a private pitching hub.

Distribution, Sync, and Rights Infrastructure 🌍
To support global reach and proper rights administration, I established a complete publishing, distribution, and sync infrastructure:
- Ditto Music – global distribution, publishing administration, and sync representation
- Songtradr – third-party sync and licensing marketplace supporting additional placement opportunities
- Music Gateway – creative industry networking, pitching, and professional connections
My music is distributed across all major DSPs including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, and Qobuz—supporting broad discovery while maintaining licensing flexibility. It is also available on decentralized platforms such as Audius and Tune.fm, as well as legacy platforms including Bandcamp and ReverbNation.
For rights management and royalty collection, I’m registered with:
- ASCAP, PRS, and APRA AMCOS (performance rights)
- SoundExchange (digital performance royalties)
- The MLC (mechanical royalties)
This ensures accurate reporting, global coverage, and frictionless licensing
Music Available for Social Media & Short-Form Content 📱🎶
In addition to traditional sync licensing and DSP distribution, my music is fully distributed and cleared for use across today’s leading social and short-form video platforms.
My tracks are available directly inside:
- Instagram & Facebook (Reels, Stories, Posts)
- TikTok
- Snapchat
- CapCut
- Edits (Meta’s video editing app)
This allows creators to use my music natively within these platforms—no external downloads, no copyright strikes, and no clearance friction. Simply search for the music within the app and apply it directly to your content.
Whether you’re a:
- Content creator or influencer
- Filmmaker sharing trailers, clips, or promos

Lessons From the Long Game 🏁
Preparing a catalog for professional licensing reinforced a key reality: the music business rewards preparation and patience.
Sync licensing and the music industry in general is a long game. Opportunities and royalties often take months or longer to materialize, making consistency, organization, and relationship-building essential. In practice, that has meant focusing on steady output, maintaining clean and reliable delivery systems, and planning for sustainability rather than short-term wins.
On a personal level, I’ve learned the importance of:
- Structured planning with room to adapt 📝
- Clearing mental clutter through lists and systems
- Protecting mental health, rest and perspective 🌿
- Staying connected with a supportive creative community
- Stepping outside of my comfort zone
- Music administration is just as important as the song
- Meta-Data is draining, yet it is paramount.
Longevity matters. Burnout helps no one.
Looking Ahead to 2026 🚀
With the foundation now firmly in place, 2026 is about intentional expansion, both creatively and entrepreneurially.
My focus moving forward includes:
- Video content (an area that is lacking)
- Continuing to grow the music catalog with new, purpose-built compositions designed for sync and licensing 🎶
- Deepening relationships with music supervisors, libraries, and creative agencies
- Expanding collaborations and custom scoring opportunities across film, games, and digital media 🎬
- Releasing more educational and practical eBooks focused on the independent music business, licensing, and creative workflows 📚
- Developing additional tools and resources for composers and creatives ✨
- Expanding creative products such as music-themed puzzles, games, and interactive content 🧩
- Introducing more custom merchandise and design-driven products 🎨
- Refining internal systems to scale sustainably without compromising quality or originality ✅
The goal is to continue building an ecosystem that supports not only my own music, but also the broader creative community.
Tools to Support Independent Artists & Musicians 🎨🛠️
Building a professional music catalog taught me just how important the right systems and tools are. Early in my journey, I often wished I had affordable resources to streamline workflow, stay organized, and navigate the business side of being a musician. That’s exactly what inspired me to create a set of educational guides and utility tools, practical resources designed to help independent artists and musicians manage their creative journeys more effectively.
These aren’t just tools; they’re systems I built for myself, distilled into products that other creators can use to save time, reduce friction, and focus on what matters most: making music and sharing it with the world. Whether it’s organizing session notes, tracking metadata, planning releases, understanding performing rights, improving workflow, or considering you’re wellness, each guide and utility is crafted to give artists clarity, structure, and confidence in their creative process.
This one means a lot to me, I hope it provides you value.
